I'm declaring £800 for this month, which takes me to £11,440...almost there! :j
Next month will be tough as I'm getting a new combi boiler fitted and then I do tend to overspend at Christmas but hoping to achieve my target for the year.

Hi all,
I've not been on this thread for what seems to be an eternity (well, about 4 months actually)
It so nice to see all of you doing so well and some already having smashed their 2012 goals!!! It's amazing!
We've not done so well in this challenge so far, but I feel very happy we've been able to put something away every month despite large outgoings.
As off this month we've managed to save a grand total of £2000. It's an amazing achievement for us. We know we will not be able to meet our target but should be able to get about £2400-£2500 by the end of the year, and that's brilliant.0 -

Popping in to report £252.95 for October. More pathetic than I would have liked but it was Little Miss Gap's birthday last week and although most of it was already paid for, there were a couple of bits I had to pay for on the day. So with a little juggling I made it past the £250 mark today. Better that than debt I always say!! Off to updateMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I'm very late to the party here! But, I just wanted to say well done for everyone involved - having a target certainly makes it easier to save plus gives you a nice feeling of achievement when you see the number going up.
We set the same target this year and just reached it at the start of this month! It forced us to finally get around to budgeting and certainly feels good. Look forward to joining the 2013 thread when it kicks off.0 -
£1179 Saved this month! Much better and hopefully will be able to hit 12k by the end of the year!Millionaire in Training

Only managed £116 for October - have such an expensive month - weekend away, dentist etc etc. Am now at £2,800 - will never reach my £5,000 goal but if I can get to £3,500 by the end of December, I'll be pleased. :j
Good luck to everyone - not long to go now.

I have been utterly rubbish!
I have had no will power to be honest and haven't got my savings head on at all.
I have sent updates to the spreadsheet and think I am upto date - Sorry Slowlyfading:o
I must save more next year. I will have a nervous breakdown if I don't move out soon. And I am only half joking
I am aiming for 3000 by the end of the year. Which is sort of pathetic.
But a start.
good luck everyone
