Congratulations to everyone who has hit their target already!!
I've done well this month compared to others. My total saved for September is £357.87 (member 159), but still nowhere near my target. May have to think about reducing it if things dont improve by the end of October.

Bought myself some new winter boots and a new coat this month which impacted a wee bit on the savings, but we still managed £965 for September.
DH just heard that they are going to lose 12 people from his department in the new year, so will have to keep our fingers crossed it isn't him. Have curtailed my fantasy house hunting until we find out if his job is secure - we could manage on one salary in our current flat, but don't really want to be buying our planned new house until we are sure of our finances. In the meantime better keep on saving!
Edit: Oh, also got interest on one of my ISAs so actually £1054 declared for September - phew!0 -

Grrrr September was a hard month. Dismal savings due to unexpected expenses, so just £285.95 saved, rounding my total to £8000 for the year so far.
Ooooh but wait! Thanks to stavromueller I just checked my ISAs and I was paid interest in Spetember too (£106.13)! So I'm gonna sneakily add this to my September savings making it £392.08.

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the slow update.
In September I managed to save £1,654, taking my overall total to £13,939. By pure coincidence that's the same amount as what I saved in January!
