Been away for so long, I have somehow managed to exceed my target. large bonus in addition to a retention bonus at my last job. But i haven't been able to update for several months because I have been really busy. Will go through my savings accounts and check.0

£1,325 for October takes me past my £12k target! :j
Could have been more (got a sizeable rental deposit back) but the cat is illand I bought some new clothes ..... oops
I feel really pleased to have gone over target, as I thought it was do-able but a stretch at the start of the yearI've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -
Wow - has this been a rollercoaster of a month!
Right so first things first.... the update!
Regular Saver 1: £250.00
Regular Saver 2: £250.00
Regular Saver 3: £500.00
Online Saver 1: £842.32
Total £1842.32
Really quite pleased with this months savings.. although as ever I still feel like it aint ever enough!
I have worked really hard this month and have also put 5 offers in for a flat that I have seen! Its crunch time today though and I will find out either way, if I have got it or not! (2 parties interested, hence why its been a rollercoaster of a month!)
So fingers crossed I will pulling all my money out to put down as a house deposit and if I dont get it, then the search will continue along with the saving!!!
Well done to everyone on here that have hit their targets already or are on course to do so... without this thread and the support it gives I certainly would not have saved this much and therefore not even able to put an offer in for a flat - So thank you! x :A0 -
LealeaV - how did you get 3 regular saver accounts? Ones with different banks?
Well done to everyone.I need to update my balance, too.

Well done to all!
I've managed to put away £300 only this month. So many things coming up, new house move, car needs mot'd, 2 weddings before December & have 2 foreign hen do's coming up next year & Xmas is just around the corner. Not good at all.
I'll definitely have my savings head on for £13k in 2013.
All the best guys!

Have only just joined the forums after seeing this thread.
I've been saving for a while but only recently started saving with any real conviction and this has given me real motivation.
I'm 24 and trying to save for a deposit for a flat/house. My goal was always to be out by the time I was 25 but that's looking like it'll be tough now. My car has died and has given me nothing but grief over the last few years, undecided about whether or not to get another or get it fixed again and save the extra that I would spend on loan or lto make up savings that i used for a cash purchase.
Anyway, without rambling on too much, I just wanted to say thanks for the motivation and I'll be tagging along to the 2013 version of this thread
Good luck all!0 -

Hi, ccBrowning, yes they are all with different banks....
The first is with HSBC with either 6 or 4 % interest, I cant remember off the top of my head, as it started back in January!
The second is with N&P Building Society at 4 %
and The Third is now a "fake" regular Saver... its actually a Mon Building Society savings account with 4% interest, but I class it as a regular saver as I have set up a standing order for the same amount each month!
I am unsure if there are many "good" ones out there at the min, seems to be less and less with any good returns lately!0
