Ooh I had a wee panic there Justin, thought you were leaving for good. That will teach me to read the whole post before jumping to conclusions.

Have a FANTASTIC time! Enjoy your wedding and make the most of it. Hope you both have a lovely day. We will all "see" you when you get back.

    Good luck!

but hubbys redundancy is looming in our house too..

Sorry to hear that and very sensible to cut back in advance but also consider proactively looking for another position in the meantime in order to take charge - you never know whats out there.......(unless the redundancy may be worth waiting for, or if the job is a dream come true which would be hard to replace).

Unfortunately, a raft of other things have taken my time up. I've had some unexpected car expenses (bad), some unexpected weekends away (good) and we're going to the Olympics.

Despite all this I don't know how I've done it., but I've still managed to save. Which just goes to show anything is possible!!!
  • Current total sitting at £2060. Payday on Wed so will have more to add before the end of the month. Getting back into being as frugal as posible to save whatever I can.

    Payday today.

Declaring £1000 for July, taking me to £8,840.
Was hoping to put away a wee bit more but happy with that total.
    Front page total updated too.

  • OH's pay day today so finances all organised for the month ahead. Have added money into the savings account taking the total savings to £2730.

Will update the front sheet shortly. Really focussing on frugal living this month to maximise the savings I can add to the account.

    Woo hoo! Payday at last!

It gets so exciting counting up all the savings.

So...that's £1000 transferred to saving making a total of £8000 for this challenge and £18000 in total...just another £7k to go to meet this year's target of £25,000!

Off to update the front page! x
