We'll find out on the 31st December. I think we'll be close. Probably need a few more updates, as second part of the year might be more of a challenge. It's going to be touch and go I reckon.
  • Added another £27 across to the savings this morning bringing my new total to £1938.

Amazing total so far for the thread.

Will be later than that we find out as some people have very delayed updates. I think we will definitly hit £1m though. If only could save that amount single handedly!!

    Hello everyone,

I added £1,526 this month - which means that my total is now £13,230!!!

    :T :T :T :T

Delighted that I've reached my target only 6 months into this year, really chuffed to have done that.

The only caveat (which I know is slightly different to how some of you are recording your savings), is that a chunk of this is extremely likely to be spent later in the year on particular expenditure (c.6k by my calcs). However, as those costs haven't crystalised as yet, then I'm sticking with my total for now - although I'm probably not going to set a new target because of that just yet - I will take another view on my target say August time when the costs are a bit clearer!

Looking ahead July = car insurance month so all other things being equal my total may be nearer to £1k, but won't complain at that at all.

Well done to everyone continuing to save, halfway through the year - get the summer holidays out the way and then let's all push to get that collective £1m by Xmas! :D

Right, eventually sorted my savings out after a very complicated month money-wise. Still stuck to my £1000 a month savings but had to clear my holiday savings and other bits and bobs to do it. So no money available in case of emergency. Suppose that's what credit cards are for!

Anyway! Up to £7k now. Shall fill in the form just now!

there are still a lot more who don't really update too often either :(

I LOVE updating!! I look forward to the end of the month so I can see how I'm doing. The thought that I probably won't hit my target has in no way put me off :D It has made me more determined to save what I can. I'm loving this SF ;)

Okay folks, this weekend Ebay are doing a free listing weekend. Time to dig around in the cupboards for [STRIKE]junk [/STRIKE]things that may be of value to other people. Remember to work out your postage costs and that every little helps! :)
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

That is my plan for tomorrow! Might have to sell my cross trainer as sadly I just don't have room in my tiny flat! The money can go to my holiday fund!

Due to a big change in plans I think i'm going to have to drop out of this one, as we've begun some building work that the £12k in 2012 was originally going to pay for next year. So not only have my savings to date vanished, there's £7500 in loan :( to repay before we start seriously saving again.

So rather than try and work out where I am now  it's probably easiest to drop out and restart in 2013 ::T

    Hi,
My total still stands at £1500 in total so far due to paying for my Center Parcs holiday and various other bills. :(

Hope that I can get back on track soon and start reporting some good savings again. Well done to everyone else :T.
