ljaneyr - please, don't feel disheartened. Any savings is better than nothing, especially in the current climate. It sounds like moving back into rented accomodation will be the best option for you, and a holiday is always goodBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

ljaneyr: Putting yourself first is important sometimes so that you are in a good enough state to save in the future! Saving can be a big mental strain when times are difficult and sometimes being a bit lax helps put away more in the future, so best of luck!
As for me, I'm currently visiting my family away and I half-heartedly did my finances not expecting great gains this month and instead I'm delighted to have £1,020.16 to report for May! It's just shy of £200 over my monthly target and it puts right previous lapses so I'm back on track for this year! I hope the trend continues. Good news for my partner as well with a more secure job lined up for September. I will get him started on the "Save £10K a year" too now that he'll be earning enough!Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -
Hi folks. I have about £1630 left over after paying off the mortgage so will use this as a starting point to aim for £5000 by the end of the year. Hoping to add a wee bit more to it before the end of June0

I'm plugging along with mines really, trying to put as much as I can away at the start of the month and using what's remaining in my account at the end of the month to top up the savings
I think I need to look through this thread for some inspiration on additional sources of income which I can enhance my savings with!
Got around £69 worth of cashback coming in soon so that'll go straight into it also :rotfl:
My savings are all going towards both my Las Vegas holiday and then a massive Debt reduction project after I get back, so hoping to be debt free(or near enough) by next June0 -
Rodg - ooh Las Vegas sounds good
what a good incentive to save towards!
