  • Afternoon All. Just a mid-month update - I have added a payment of £20 from Amazon for selling books and £16 from selling an unwanted mobile phone to my ISA giving a new total of £1666. Hoping to add a few more wee bits by the end of June.

I am due to pay my gym membership very soon and do want to rejoin this year. I get a 15% discount for paying annually as opposed to monthly DD. There may not be much going into the savings in July but even the small amounts add up over time.

Will do an 'official' update for June nearer the end of the month when hopefully I will have been paid for a couple of freelance days work.

Keep up the good work everyone.

How's everyone doing? :) We're almost at the half way point! :j

I've transferred over £869.43 today, so June's total for me is looking good already :)

As I'm paid on the 15th I've already reached the half way point :-)
  • I am at the £4k mark for this challenge. The 12k will be my house deposit. So sooner its saved, the better.

Not long started this challenge, upto £4k with no more direct debits this month...should hit the halfway (£6k) by the end of this month as i have a few jobs iv invoiced for so will bring in money in the next few weeks hopefully!! My figures show £6k by end of June and £12k by end of November - not December. So bring it on.

Congrats on all the ongoing saving everyone :) A week until our payday then I'll calculate the monthly saving. Got to shell out £300 for a car repair (joy...) but still hoping for a good amount saved.

Is this just money saved up or can we include the interest we get paid monthly such as £22 for £8000 a month?
You can include interest (I certainly do since it's income which I then 'save')

Hi everyone :-) Been a while since I posted; been very busy here & we're currently without heating & hot water GROAN

Anywho, had a good month this month & squirrelled away £845! Moneys tight for the next few months as closest friends wedding next month and saving towards holiday in November.

Quick q; We're going to be saving separately for excursions on our holiday (anything left after hol will go into main savings acct). Would you count these in your monthly totals and then just deduct after the holiday? (hope that makes sense!)
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
