Wooohooo!!! My expenses have been paid, so I have paid back the £150 borrowed from last month's savings
Quidco money due next week too, which should help see me through to pay day, and I still have £53.90 in the bank and £21.58 in my purse. Easy peasy!I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -
Just got back from the hairdresser and feel amazing :j A big confidence boost too. A bit more expensive than I thought (but I've not been since March!) but have checked my Eb*y listings and 3 already have bids and the 5 other items have 15 or more watchers. Even being an Eb*y newbie I know watchers doesn't mean bids but you never know. I'm still hoping to cover the cost of my highlights and cut by the end of the month. Will have a look around for more things to list but for now I shall just enjoy bouncing on air

Hi all, been a bit of a pricey week this week; we had a gig in london we booked a year ago last weekend and valentines treat was a trip to Gilgamesh (=HEAVEN!!) the we have had our 6 yr old neice up for the week so a tabk of petrol, and a trip to splashdown (Alton Towers) we did take a packed lunch to make it cheaer and have so far been to the musuem & library, seen the muppets (using gift vouchers) and had baking fun! All far cheaper than bowling and dinners out!
Also work have mucked up bonuses so I am £240 short this payday which means less in savings. Good job the freezer & cupboards are full.
Payday money to saving is £370 so far with hopefully more later, also had £5 quidco and £5 interest; not hige amounts but all adding up!
Keep up the good work everyone :0)First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Can't wait to the end of the month, should hit the big round £7500!

Hi all, hope everyone is well.
I've just transferred another £100 from Paypal into the pot.
We had to dip into the savings just before the payday and even though all the money has now been put back in I think this is going to be a very tough month for us.
Therefore, I'm now on a mission to get as many ebay sales as possible, going to try my best to get the rest of Feb savings from ebay only :eek:0 -

I'm just wondering whether it would be sensible to buy a few things to resell at a later date. I bought a book about someone who makes their entire living from eBay and he advocates collecting items for the Christmas market Sept - Dec. I've had a look at various small items that would make good gifts, the auction price is way below the 'Buy it now' price so I was wondering if I bid and won (spending)under the 'Buy it now' price whether or not I could turn it into a profit later. Has anyone had any experience with this?
However I aim to make 1k this month via eBay as I have a couple of large items to sell - wish me luck
I've thought of the idea of reselling on ebay many many times. I have noticed from the previous personal experiences that it can be done. For instance I bought my son a good quality sleeping bag in summer which I subsequently sold for more money in winter when he outgrew it. Also back in Oct I bought my daughter a very fancy designer winter coat for £40 (and that was 2nd hand  ), two to three weeks later the same coats were selling on ebay for £65 plus delivery because it was getting closer to the winter.
I guess you just need to be in the right place at the right time... Also the downside is that you could potentially wait for months to get your money back (and of course there is never a guarantee that you would)0 -
