Well this is all a bit annoying. It's the last day of January and thanks to a mistake by payroll I haven't been paid anything for January. My savings this month have now reached the massive heights of a £55: a £25 win in the premium bonds and £30 for an old broken watch that I sold as scrap to a local jewellers.
On the plus side, when I finally get paid it will look good for February's savings!0 -

Wow, that's rubbish! And they're not paying you until next month?
On a whole different level of annoyance (a much lower one), I had tallied yesterday thinking "I'm not going to spend anything on the 31st" but there it is, I forgot lunch so I'll either buy something from the cafe downstairs or go hungrySaving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -

"A bit" annoying? I would be very very annoyed. Surely they have no right to let you go without a pay till next month...0 -
Slowly Fading, the easy updater on the 1st page is excellent, I'm very impressed. :T Thanks again for all your hard work.
I've now declared £405 for January, haven't reached the target for the month and think that Feb and March are going to be even harder, all our insurance policies will be due for renewal and we'd like to get them all paid as one off payments to save money in the long run.
I'll need to see how things go and might even have to lower my target. So off to ebay more stuff...
Desperate Housewife, thank you very much for the hint regarding the "sandwich bread" programme, I've tried it twice now and the bread is much nicer, less dense and the crust is much thinner.0 -
Oh, BTW, we've almost hit £50K total savings now, pretty amazing for just one month!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done everybody!!!!0

Transferred over another £6.39:j (a mixture of paypal from superp0ints and savings on transport yesterday). I'll put my Jan total into the spreadsheet later today. I've saved nearly a quarter of my target in January thanks to my tax refund:D.0
