Depending upon her reply as to what you should ask next. It is possible that even though she is the mod, that she is not aware that she is not supposed to put all members on constant moderation. Do keep us posted!
Thanks will e-mail now and keep you guy's informed
I e-mailed her in reply to that to ask her to do it on trial and never got anything
I've offered loads of stuff so it's definately not for only new members0 -

Hi Received a reply to your question
Messages are Moderated all the time in Freecycle and No everyone is Moderated for all messages.
This is so we can check the messages are suitable to be posted as a few piostings have been of Spam nature.
I hope this answers your question0 -
I feel so lonely lol0

On my local freecyle every post is moderated. Rumoured between other members that the owner likes to see what's on offer themselves first and seems to have 'collected' a lot of items themselves, most of which never even reached the board. Weird that. Easy to tell as all the messages sent come flooding through when she is online. One day I might be more organised...........

Sorry for the delay.
The GOA is actually a team to help owners and moderators with things that come up.
The address that group members should use is:-
info@freecycle.org
Let them know all the things that you have mentioned here and include the response from your group owner. They'll then take it from there.
HTHHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. It is not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Any views are mine and are not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.DTFAC: Y.T.D = £5.20 Apr £0.50

I've had pretty positive experiences with FC, both as donor and recipient.
However, some of the requests are getting ridiculous....last week there was a guy asking for a laptop for the novel he was writing....didn't take too kindly to my email to him saying I couldn't give him a laptop, but he could have a pencil and paper!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Shamish and lil_me, That is indeed the route to take-just as Squeaky says. This mod is not abiding by the rules by the sounds of it. Moderating messages are not the only way to deal with spammers. Maybe the mod needs some help from GOA? I wouldn't bother pointing out the "rules" to the mod-it could cause bad feeling-let GOA deal with it. It may take a little time-please be patient-I'm sure that they will attend to it and help the mod sort out any problems she is experiencing which has caused her to modrate all posts.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

I just wanted to add that I've started a Don't Dump That group for Edinburgh.
Not trying to stray off topic, just hoping that this will catch a few people's eyes!0 -
All of the posts to my local Freecycle (Darlington) are moderated - well they must be as they all seem to arrive in a block of emails about twice a week! :mad:0
