That sounds like a terrific amount of rebooting for any modern device. I'd expect to go a few weeks between reboots on a modern smartphone.

Sadly, the last we heard from SE on the matter was them poo-pooing WP7.5. Hopefully with Sony at the helm, a change of heart will be had.

Hating the design tho. I have my eye on the new Nokia phone, waiting to see it in real life before I put my iphone 4s on ebay.

Surprisingly reliable though and it just doesn't crash - really!

Although now and again I think it'd be quite endearing to see the old blue screen of death on a phone.

The new windows phone are much better including OS. I think iphone and Androids should be worried. This can only be good for customers.
Why the updates are released is good as all manufactures will need to relese the update for certain time. So you dont end up with a device six months old and cant update.

I agree it will be good for customers, but not sure why anybody should be worried? You have to understand MOST people are not religeous about their handset/OS , only those that are crying that theirs is the best, have anything to worry about :cool:

Thats what make Apple more powerful. Unlike other companies Apple will only release certain products. Look its laptop, computer, tablet, tv box range all work the same. Thats why it is making more than even oil / banks in proft. The samsung's phone range is larger than all Apple proudcts.

Apple like to focus on R&D and release one or two versions. Most people like that because product will have most fuctions. Because new products are not released every 2-3 months the price also hold in 2nd market. Still 3G is going to OK price on eBay.

Most companies like to be Apple but cant. Even the Android & Windows Phone range is released by so many manufactures to break into the iphone market.

You still seem to be worrying about things that don't really matter, the points you raise....so what?
Not every consumer wants an apple, just like not every consumer is going to want a samsung or any other brand, for a whole host of reasons, it's about CHOICE, you choose your items for your reasons , people choose their items for their reasons, it does not make you right and they wrong

I never said I am right or wrong. This is in answer to the post.
You dont need to tell me that not everone is goind to buy an iphone or anyone proudcts, I know that.

I stand by what I have said: Most companies like to be Apple. Why do you think as soon as new phone come out first thing review do is compare to iphone?

If it was possible Samung / htc rater release one or two phones per year than so many. Only Apple can do this and still make more money than both companies.


Also why do you think Mac and ipad selles are high?

Most people need simple devices and Apple is providing them.
Hopefully Windows Phone will provide some challenge to iphone and tablet with simple to use and provide updates, apps store that work with all phones not some, no need to worry about phone being hacked etc. Microsoft Xbox range of games should also help. However Microsoft need to do things quickly and properly.
