It depends "how" seperated they are..... seperated as in, taking some time apart to try with the possibility of trying to rebuild their relationship, or seperated as in never to reconcile, moving towards a divorce. But in any case, if this man is sending you notes like this, I would guess that IF your husband has been seeing someone else, it has been going on for longer than 1 week!

We are still living in the same house, I'm still doing his washing and cooking his meals when he's here, trying to pretend in front of the little ones that everything is ok and mummy and daddy are still together.

That may have been ment as a joke but it actually happened to a woman I worked with.
She ended up married to the ex husband of the woman her first husband ran off with!

BTW Doorstep it's a horrible situation to find yourself in, I'm so sorry.

Sounds like you were working towards mending your marriage but your husband was further down the path of separation.

Happened to someone I know as well. It was a long time ago, so even worse then for divorce.


OP, I'm sorry you are being treated like this by the man you thought loved you at one time.
Get the info and see how real it is. It sounds like the other guy may have got a private detective on the case to have all that paperwork.
And then chuck your separated partner out.

I wish I could just chuck him out, but the house we live in has just his name on the mortgage, it was purchased whilst married, but as I'm a sahm he said it would be easier to just do it in his name.
