Now, you see... I think the complete opposite.

In fact I would have asked the husband about it (even though you're separated) before I'd have rung the number. AND I've have googled the number to try and find the identity of the other 'wounded party'

I'd ring him back (and if he answers) tell him you're not prepared to wait until later. i wouldn't say anything to your OH until you have all the details from this person.

Bunting, I can see where you're coming from and if he hadn't already proved untrustworthy then there's no way I'd listen to a stranger over my husband. HOWEVER, this is a man who's already had an affair: how could you not think him guilty straight away?

Yes that right, but only been separated for about a week, and it was my doing as we'd grown apart.
