I know he's still lying to me as he said she's not moving in with him yet she's gone property viewing with him.

I think you have to assume that everything he says to you will be a lie. If you assume that you probably can't go far wrong. And to avoid arguments, just answer with 'uhuh'... let them go play happy kinky families, he'll look the fool having promised her the world/house with dungeon when he can't get it!!
  • He said that there's only about £10,000 in equity, I've done a soa and I can just about manage with bills etc, need to get mobile down if poss, and sort out changing gas and Elec as those 3 alone are £160 alone.

Exactly, let them make offers on houses - they are going to look pretty stupid and she will drop him like a hot stone when she realises he actually has nothing.

I;d not believe that for a start!!

Gas and Elec can come later - is you are in credit, change and get some cashback and a lower payment. Maybe you can go onto PAYG? Who are you with for you mobile?

"He said"? Ask for a copy of the most recent mortgage statement.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

  • I'm with orange for mobile iPhone contract, until next April.

Gas and Elec have just sent payments back as we were in credit, gone into his account.
  • Long time lurker, but had to speak out in agreement with the advice that's been given to you doorstep. Get a good solicitor, get CSA rolling, look after yourself and be completely selfish about the whole thing because you've got the kids to think of.

It seems he's known about the marriage breakdown much longer than you and has had plenty of opportunity to work out the easiest and most financially beneficial exit strategy. Don't give him any breaks or make anything easy for him because he obviously doesn't have your best interest at heart - so don't trust what he says no matter how sincere they may seem.

I still wonder where the money for the house is coming from. Surely he needs a deposit even if the current house is being used as a guarantee. Especially if the equity is only £10,000. he has money he hasn't told you about. he must have. Either that or his floozy is rolling in it.

Can we see your SOA? We might be able to help get some expenses down.
  • Deposit is coming from mortgage reserve, and they said he can have 85% mortgage raised against this property.

Soa I did no line but didnt post it will get on to it soon.

I don't think she's rolling in it, part time job, rented property, unless she gets money from her website and movies.

Going to sort out clinic appoitment for next week.
