car parked against my bumper

I just looked out my window and realised that a car had wedged itself into a 'non space' between my car and the one behind. Result is that their car was resting against my bumper.

I've gone out and moved my car forward, because I know they will have to play more dodgems later to get out of the 'space', my car will be hit repeatedly (if not already done so).

I've left a note on their windscreen with my number and told them to call me - but really, what else can/should I do?

What do you want them to call you for? Have they damaged your car?

Clearly it wasnt a "non space" as they parked in it, had you parked sensibly,i.e. leaving a two foot gap then ths would not have arisen.
Are you by any chance the sort of person who needs two parking spaces for one car?

Ok, so you ask a question and are asked several more.

My car does not appear to be damaged, no - however, given how tightly they'd managed to wedge into a space, I would suggest they have hit my car repeatedly on the way in.

They left themselves about three inches clearance at the rear and, well, given my bumper was pushed in - nothing at the front.

I've moved forward to let them out - because I don't want any damage to my car really.

But seriously - you telling me that you wouldn't want at least an apology for their lousy parking?

Are you the sort of person who jumps to conclusions with no evidence?

We have no idea if the OP was the first or last person to park nor how well they had parked. It may have been the car behind that left the "non-space".

to clarify - this is a main road, with parking 'bays' at side. I was parked nearer the front of the bay - with enough space for a normal sized car (or the gas van) in front, with a gap for me to get in/out, when I parked, someone was behind me - again, with a gap between us.

I went to work, I came home, I discovered the car behind resting against my bumper.

Am I not allowed to be mildly annoyed by this?

No, because it's bound to be an ignorant OAP, who'll either just ignore you and drive off OR they'll claim it's all your fault and then drive off. Even if it's not, your still not gonna get your apology...... So what's the point?

Assuming your measurements are right and you're not exaggerating in the slightest then it must be this guy that parked there
