Anyone know why you have to sign in again and accept new contracts?

You dont need to. Open iTunes 10.4.x.x (your current one)

at the top click 'Help' and 3rd from the bottom is 'Check for Updates'

iTunes 10.5 will be available to download. Loads easier

Anyone know what time iOS5 is due? I expect they have to wait until the West Coast of America is up and about....

Pretty sure it drops in about 5pm GMT, remember waiting till5/6 last time they had a major system update.

Assuming there is some cracked versions about because a friend of mine has had it for a couple of months and sure he isnt developing.

If he knows a developer then the developer can add his UDID to his developers account for him.

Or, there are sites like this where you pay them and they add your UDID to their developer accounts (they don't actually develop anything, it's solely a money making venture).

Apple's servers are currently very stressed and very erratic (speed has been going from 10K to 220K and averaging around 60K for me).

Currently playing in iTunes: "Start Me Up"!

edit: My IOS5 download size is 637.3MB but it differs depending on device (seemingly between 452MB and 707MB).

How can you tell how fast it's going?

Instead of time going down, it's increasing every minute or so... 44 minutes to go apparently - no, wait, 45 minutes...
