How does iCloud work if you have a PC? I have a Mac but a friend who has a PC is asking if there is an iCloud download as with Lion it's built in. I referred him to iCloud.com to set it up but I think I may be wrong.

Half of the features are not that obvious and this is one of them.

It is just in the normal messages application. If you message someone and they have an apple ID then you should see the place where you type change to 'iMessage' instead of 'message'.

A friend in Glasgow just iMessaged me (he didn't have my number so I gave him my Apple ID) and the message came from his number but it does state that it's an iMessage = free.

The same friend has just tweeted that he has a username, not sure how he set that up but I'm too tired to look in to it right now.

Had two "3200" restore errors BUT it worked on the third attempt!

At least IOS5 was held in Itunes, I was thinking it might what to download again!!!

Probably was a problem verifying restore (?) with Big Bad Apple.

I've noticed: Newsstand / imessage / Reminders /Grid on camera

I didn't opt for icloud or location service.

I've had this set up and working great with two hotmail account.

Man, had the same problems people had last night so woke at 6 and tried, and it worked. unfortunately when i had to leave the house at 7 it had restored my apps and contacts, but not my 28gb of music and videos... so that was a boring train ride to work!

anyone instruct me on how to set up a location based reminder? i tried looking in ical and reminders this morning and cannot find how to do it?

Tried is this morning and it's finally working.

iTunes is doing odd things. It keeps restarting. No matter how many times I shut it down, up it appears a few minutes later.

I guess it is the wireless sync, but it very irritating.

Worked fine this morning. Major bonus is the 'sync with iCloud' which now free's lots of space on my rather full HD!
