I`ve given up on my iphone and now trying the ipad. I kept getting the same error but the last time it said that the server was unavailable. Will just download the update for the pad and leave it til tomorrow.

Installed and it's restoring all my apps etc now.. just taking it's time.

A few friends have reported problems updating their phones, funnily they are all PC users..

No problems for me and the other 2 imac users I know.. :rotfl:

I finally got it to update on my iphone 4 but still trying on my Ipad2. The one thing I have noticed on the Iphone is that I can't find the Imessage app. I read it was in the message app but I can't see it.

itunes update trashed my 3 month old MBP running lion this morning as i tried to update my ipad, had to reinstall it...

You've been able to do this for over a year!

You just needed to add the hotmail account as MS Exchange and use m.hotmail.com as the server. Full sync of mail, calendar and contacts.

I've had this set up and working great with two hotmail account.

Installing iOS5 now, iPad2 just a few minutes left, iPhone3Gs to be done overnight.

Not sure whether it's the o2 BB TM or Apple servers.

Was @ 5hrs, down to 4hrs, BUT now @ 76min.

It is! If you put another persons apple ID in where the number goes then it will send as an iMessage. I believe it can also be done by number but I haven't tried yet.
