They were here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/free-cheap-energy-monitors#70, I happened to strike lucky I think. If it's all a bit complicated for me I might be giving mine away:rotfl:
Good things about today:j- Made 3 credit card payments totalling £120.
- Took a crust of bread (literally) to work so I didn't have to use the canteen :rotfl:
- Paid the bin cleaning man. It's £3.30 a month, it is a little unnecessary but i really think it's enterprising, someone is willing to clean bins for a living and I want to support that.
- Mr Banwa's hours very short again. And they will be too tomorrow. And potentially forever. He's getting annoyed at me for being stressed but I can't help it, I'm really worried. And new jobs are not easy to comeby
- Dishwasher is terminal
- Replace pump (£100) - no guarantee that something else won't break on it after that
- Replace with second hand off ebay (£100 - ish) No guarantee that the pump isn't about to go on that one
- Replace with new £220 - expensive, I'd feel okay about this if Mr Banwa was working more overtime
- Buy lots of fairy liquid

Hi Banwa :j
I would use the washing up liquid until you can save enough pennies to get a new one. There is so much than can go wrong with water appliances once one thing goes wrong there can often be other things right behind, hard water, rust etc can damage the bits inside. And I completely agree you could end up spending hundred quid for a second hand one off eBay for that one to break in 6 months.
Thats my opinion anyway
And personally I love the crusts, they are my favouriteJust keep swimming!0 -
Aw if only you'd spotted the 10 bottles of fairy for £4.60 offer the other week. Check out amazon there's some bargains on wishy washy liquid thereDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi Banwa
That's annoying about the dishwasher..I couldn't be without mine (well, of course I could, but really wouldn't want to be).
As you're 'willing' to spend £100 on a repair or second-hand DW, could you put this sum aside and then have a big splash on ebay and try to raise the rest of what you'd need to pay for a new one? Maybe if Mr Banwa is any good with a screwdriver, you could dismantle your existing DW and sell it off in parts. Not sure if this is an option, but I often see that other peeps on here have raised quite a lot of money by selling things off in pieces.

Yes I think Mr Banwa has come round to the idea of not bothering with second hand. After much convincingAw if only you'd spotted the 10 bottles of fairy for £4.60 offer the other week. Check out amazon there's some bargains on wishy washy liquid there

Been
We have the money sitting in an account waiting to reduce the overdraft. According to my earlier calculations of paying debt at £1.78 per hour, we would be adding about another week onto the debt payment, and when there are 6 of us here, the dishwasher is a godsend. Dreading this weekend without one.I am sure we will give in and get one, when we are cruelly reminded what it's like to have 6 of you and no dishwasher.
Harumph, could really do without this.
Good things about today:j- Went for a run at lunchtime
- I was absolutely rubbish, and have given myself a massive blister so no running for me tomorrow:o. At least I did it though

If the kids are old enough get them to do the wishy washying
my sister and I were at that from a very, very young age hmmph!
The offer was on amazonia about a month ago, they come and go. I spotted it on the grabbit board and it went really quickly. I orderd 30 bottles for my house, my parents house, and my sisters house between us. Worth keeping an eye out for thoughDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Kerri is right, I remember me having to wash up from an early age and my brother who was younger had to dry.
Also, if you really need washing up liquid, Aldi washing up liquid was voted better than fairy by Which and I think it is only about 59p per bottle
I went for a little run on Monday, my hips still hurt nowJust keep swimming!0 -
I think my dishwasher is on it's way out
! it's not cleaning properly and we've cleaned it out twice and topped it up with salts & rinse aid etc....I will def buy another one though! I'd rather go without petrol for a month and get the dishwasher than have to do all the washing up
