Have you reclaimed bank current account charges and credit card charges as well as the littlewoods ones ?

If CAB are going to try get the whole balance written off due to your circumstances then that will be good, if your claim is sorted first it will just go to the balance of your account at littlewoods. So either/or will make things better for you.

I had success with Littlewoods. My intial letter said 14 days. after which the asked for further time then that time expired so I put in a claim thru small claims court. Within a few days I had a letter crediting my account with the charges and court fees.

Ohh im glad i found this thread, i didnt know you could claim back catalogue charges.
Sorry to ask whats probably already been asked but how do you go about it simply. Is it the same, ask them for all statements for last 6 years (or however long) and inclose a cheque for £10 then tot up the charges and then send the standard template letter to them?
    Thinking it over...:o

This thread is brill! As far as I have read jopwo_87 you just tailor the template letter to your needs and send it off as you would a bank charges letter, thats my plan anyway!

I have an Additions account i've had since I was a student and have incurred not a massive amount but probably a good few charges over the years.

My question is on my statements it has a payment protection thing that im sure never used to be there. Do i ask for proof of my agreement to this seperately or in the same letter requesting all my statements .charges (though i have to say i have most of my statements as it is!)

    Thanks guys

Do a full Subject Access request under the Data protection act - in it specify that you want your agreements, PPI agreement and transaction lists and any other data they hold about you.

Should give you everything, then you should be set to claim back the charges and the PPI as if you didnt even know about it, was most likely missold.

just had a letter back today from littlewoods saying they are not going to refund me as they believe their charges are lawful, however i dont!
and im pretty sure the cab wont so i will be sending the letter onto them (as they are dealing with my debts anyway) and see what they have to say.
im still hoping the whole balance can be written of as my cab advisor was confident it would be.
but out of principal id like littlewoods to offer a refund on unfair charges.
georgia0304 - hope you have a better outcome than me, mine has taken 2 weeks to get a final response
