  • Hi
I asked Additions for my statements and they said I would have to pay £5 per statement that I wanted!! Need to send them the SAR letter from here with a £10 cheque and thats all they're getting lol!!
I am trying to claim the PPI from them - I did not ask for it and as soon as I noticed it on my account I cancelled it - though I think it was about a year til I noticed it (NEED to check statements better in future!!!!). Sent the letter off Saturday so just waiting for a response from them - will keep you all posted.
    Good luck

you can view your previous statements on the website, in my accounts. i just checked through mine and found they have charged me £60 in fees and £36 of that was all in january. one £12 for insuficient min payment, one for sending out a debt collection letter!! and another for insuficeint payment. i was signed up on a dmp so hadnt taken much notice but now i am sorting out my own payment plan i am shocked at how much i've been charged.

oh, sorry didnt realise it only went up to 12 months (hadnt looked that far back).
i have sent a letter to them today requesting them to pay back the £60 in fees. fingers crossed.
  • Surprisingly, L:ittlewoods have ignored my letter so I'm just going to fill the FOS complaints from and send that cc Lwoods.

Their collections dept just called though asking about this months payment and told me i'm being charged £10 for a phone call - even if I dont answer !!!

What exactly is that all about ?

I've just had a look at my statement and found a £60 'charges credit' .. how strange.. it's a start, but they owe me more than that
  • Hi, I know I have probably written this in the wrong place, but I need some advice regarding payments for my Additions catalogue.

    The story so far:
Back in June/July '08, my partner and I got our wires crossed with who was paying the bill of approx £50 for our Additions catalogue (she thought I had paid it, and I thought she had paid it - but in fact none of us had paid it). We did not receive any bill statements from additions, or corespondance until this morning when we received a letter from a debt collecting agency for the sum of £300 - obviously because we had not received any statements from the catalogue company, we were none the wiser that we owed any money, and now as you can see, the amount we are expected to pay is rising.

We tried ringing the debt collecting agency this morning who informed us that our details have now been passed on to another collecting agency. When we phoned this number, the new company informed us that they have not received our details, or do not know anything about our case. We then phoned Additions to try and sort this mess out and they informed us that they do not have our details on file anymore, so there is nothing they can do for us.

Firstly we feel we should not be paying the interest charges due to not receiving any statements for 6+ months, and secondly if no-one acknowledges that our account exists, the interest charges are going to keep mounting. Can anyone offer some advice on what we can do from here?

    Thanks.
  • Hi Guys,

I'm about to try and reclaim some catalogue charges, specifically old premier man, fashion world and littlewoods accounts. There's at least £100 of charges on each one, Does anyone have any advice about the best way to approach this, and also how long the process takes and what are my chances of success.

The second part of my question is this: I had two credit cards and a loan which I incurred charges on when i was younger. I'm not sure of the dates but it's about 5-6 years ago. How would i go about finding these out to start a claim. If it helps, the accounts were with barclaycard, capital one and sainsburys bank.
