My husband and I both have a Simply Be account. But have fallen behind with payments. Could not find the statement with the Accountnumbers on and had just received a letter from Reliable Collections, (part of their company as well).
I have therefore sent aletterback to them asking them to pass the request on to Simply Be for my statements. Can you tell me if they charged for this information?
Thanks.Ps, Simply Be cheque should be delivered today apparently....still waiting for posty!0 -

Hi at present i am trying to reclaim bank charges with lloyds bit slow but im trying to be patient.
over the past month i missed a payment to studio cards which is a bit like a catalougue, they have charged me a late payment fee of £20.00 can they actually do this or do i treat it the same as the bank charges and dispute it with them, i have asked for the charges to be removed they have said no.
Any help would be gratefully accepted
thanks

So were would i start to get the charges taken off, as there are no statements like with the bank charges as such and i have asked them to take the charge of but they wont. would i just start with the 2nd letter template provided with the bank charges info.
thankyou

I don't understand why you don't have a statement. But in any case you need to follow the same procedure as you would for the bank penalty charges. I don't know what Martin's template letters say but I'm sure it's good.Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here!0

Yeah got the cheque Friday, had to send a letter off to Cardiff County Court to cancel claim as it had been transferred but i hadnt had the letter yet! They sent the cheque to my mums although that was not the addy on the court claim! Doh, hoping i've moved on i bet!
good luck with your claim!0 -
Sorry....to answer your other question:
They didnt put up much of a fight at all, i ws only claiming £181 inc int and court costs, the acknowledged it at the last minute and then sent me a letter 2 weeks later giving me full settlement, although they were still logging a defence!! No idea why! I sent settlement letter back to them and received cheque 3 weeks later, not bad for a few letter! Go for it, they sent me a stinkin letter after initial request which made me angry so i started court proceedings, lol
I would not advise doing it that way though, follow the schedule laid out on here, i was just hacked off and acted on impulse, all came good in the end though.0
