Yes you can, you need to re-word the letter in Martin's article to say what charges you are claiming ie, late payment or however they word their particular charges.

    Warning about Littlewoods statements.

They will send you the staements, but be careful, that you check the statement number,as they have seemed to have missed a few out.

An online check shows these are the ones, that have admin charges on.

I emailed Additions Direct and Choice yesterday asking for all statements that have any charges on them, today I got a reply from additions saying that they would send me a copy of my last statement, I presume this meant my most recent one. I emailed back stating that I required all statements from them for the life of the account with charges on and they replied that they could send me the last four statements, and they no longer charge for late payments. Has anyone managed to get more than four statements from additions direct??

Did you claim just the late payment fees from simplybe or service charge as well and if so was it only the late payment fees before they reduced down to £12.00

    Bank: JD Williams
Amount Reclaimed: £115+£35 Interest+£30 Court Costs
Amount Paid: £181 Full and final settlement

Story: Sent email on Simply Be website 1stMarch asking for statements, they responded very quickly and had my statements within 3-4 days. Sent initial letter off on 4th March, they sent me a most definitely not letter which was quite rude and told me how it was my fault i had incurred those charges, i sent 2nd letter off immediately and in the end had to go through MCOL, finally started MCOL 1st April, the didnt acknowledge it until 16th April and i received a letter yesterday for the full and final amount. Not yet got the money yet though but ive sent my response letter recorded delivery today.

Thanks for all the help this site has given me:T :T :T , im gonna need it as i still have 2 ongoing MCOL claims against HSBC...they have until 5th May to submit a defence D-Day!
  • I have an account with studio Catalogue for at least five months in a row i was charged £20 a month for late payments. My payments were always paid but sometimes they were late. With studio you get charged interest on your balance so as i have had at least £100 worth of charges can i claim them back plus the interst that i have been charged and do i go about it the same way as you do when claiming them back from a bank.

    hi katylou,

I've claimed from studio and won they paid me the full amount after 2 letters plus interest(I hadnt actually asked them for it).It took a month start to finish.I just used the template letters from this site and amended them to read late payment charges. Also request they pay you in cheque form or you might get vouchers instead!
    Good Luck
  • :rotfl: Hi All,

I wrote to Ikano Financial Services on 21st March asking for charge details to an account relating to Allders Store card. They sent back details on 23rd , charges amounting to £170 and gave this info free of charge.

Wrote letter requesting cash on 28th March - No Reply.

Wrote second letter on 16th April ,using 14 days or court claim time. Without Prejudice would accept £125 by 30/04/07.

On Thursday received letter offering £125 full and final settlement :T

"Any future charges will not be refunded for late payments" .... account was closed 3 years ago :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Must sign and return a letter to them. Will add note at bottom still expect cheque by 30/04/07 or will proceed as advised.

IM SO HAPPY ITS A GOOD START - come on HSBC, you are next.

*Also awaiting statements from GE CAPITAL BANK , and pondering contacting the student loans company * I got into a mess and spent the last few years with :A payplan :A sorting it all out - debts paid up. Now it looks as though I'm gonna get some money back.

    Keep at it guys !
