Hey -
I was rummaging through the threads earlier and came across some quite interesting chats about reclaiming admin charges from catalogues?
Well, i've had nothing but trouble over the past few years and am just in the process of paying the last amount to close my debt. I must say that they have done nothing but constantly charge me £12 admin fees... and to hear that you can claim these back is music to my ears.
One question... what if I havent kept the statements? Obviously I will request them again, but do I still have to send the £10 admin cheque or do they not work like the banks do?
*update... I am currently reclaiming from three banks and am about to add two more on the list... including Marshall Ward catalogue!!!!!!

Basically yes, send the SAR request with a £10 cheque to the companies you are claiming from.0

Can anyone help??? Urgently!! I have a real dilemma - Grattans want me to pay 3 x £12 late payment fees. I paid one and said I felt it was unfair that they were charging two more fees for the late payment of the late payment fee! They obviously disagreed and maintain that I have to pay it. I sent them the first letter asking them to refund the late payment fee which I have paid and remove the other two otherwise and respond within 14 days... they replied today and virtually ignored my letter and said I must pay by tomorrow - otherwise presumably they will charge me another! What should I do now - pay the fees they are demanding then send the next letter and press on to the Court stage if need be? Look forward to hearing from anyone.0

Send it to whoever the reply came from.
You must remember that they will try everything to stop you from claiming.
YOU set the pace of the claim and it is lawful, they are just trying to set their pace for dealing with it and seeing if they can intimidate you out of going all the way.
Hope this helps.0 -
This has happened so many times to me. It is so frustrating, as if they don't charge you enough interest without adding on the extra administration charges. Thanks everyone for all the comments on this message board, without them I wouldn't have sent any letters. I have sent the 2nd letter to Barclays asking for £1680 worth of charges and I am in the process of sending letters to Barclaycard, Capital One and Studio. Catalogue companies that have charged me excessively in the past are Littlewoods, Marshall Ward, Choice and Kays. Does anyone think that I should write to these as well? The problem is that I have thrown away all old letters so do not have account details and I don’t want to be fobbed off if I send my personal details only. Good luck with your claims everyone!0
