Ooh thats such a cool job Star, bf and I tried white water rafting in Oz and LOVED it. Bf has no clue what he wants to do in life and all of a sudden decided that was the job for him, came back here and there's not a single bit of white water for miles! So it's on the back burner for now.
Def don't think you'll be 10 days over, that would be v unfair - might place my bet on Sunday. If the rhyme works it'll mean they're bonny, blithe, good and gay (in the original sense of course) and I think they're nice things for a baby to be!

Hi all, another busy afternoon for me for a change
Sick of not having any proper internetting time!
I much prefer my walking boots in the winter/snow - warmer and grippier, but then I have expensive walking boots and cheap wellies
Greenie, I agree with what Dinah says - no one was attacking you - it's just the point of the forum isn't it, different opinions and things you might not have thought of. Like the paying off the small debts first we were discussing- I think we all said we'd do that for the mental boost but there will be some people on here who would stick resolutely to the snowball.
OK, been jotting down my November goals, got loads this month:
1. Spring clean my laptop (ie install new security, sort all photos and files, back up)
2. Spring clean my car and check lightbulbs etc before MOT in Dec
3. Run 96 miles (half the Coast to Coast distance)
4. Get my 5k PB under 34 minutes
5. Finish 2 baby blankets
6. Read 2 books
7. Write my Christmas cards ready to send out early Dec
8. Work out what I'm getting everyone and start Christmas shopping
9. Bring packed lunch to work 20 days out of 22
10. Cross off 2 Day Zero items
11. Have some money left at the end of the month to move to savings
12. Have at least 6 social engagements (ie more than one a week avg)
Hmmm.... But first a cup of teaAnyone watching Frozen PLanet tonight?

No, I didn't think any of you were attacking me - its just had to explain everything. Either, he's starting to understand the importance, so it's only up from now
RE: wellies - I've always wanted posh wellies. I've always wanted posh shoes to be honest!I did promise myself that when I get down to my goal weight, I'm going to buy myself something from the designer shop near work. Needless to say, it will be a while before I get my card out in there!

Hi all!
Dinah and NIM well done on the debt clearance youre really making waves and I'm surprised/impressed at the daily rate! thats more than I earn for my full time job!! Keep it up and you'll be well on your way to being DF!! (I can't believe that you spent £4K on a holiday though! ouch!) What were you eating to spend that much on food?
Greenie, it sounds like you and the OH are making good progress too! and I agree you shouldnt rush things theres no point puhing a LBM on him!
Birdie, was it you who got someone elses statement/bill through the post and complained about it? Who ever it was (im sure I'm not making this up!) can you tell me more? it's just happened to me grr!!
Wow. I have loads more to say but no time!! I'll try to come back lol0 -
If you divide our after tax salary by 31 (usual number of days in a month) we have £84.90 a day. On our before tax we earn £120.14 a day but I choose to believe that number has no bearing on my life as I never see it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
I thought I was being a right smart@rse last night and found some other wellies for OH, sturdier and warmer than Hunters but for half the price, told OH about them and he frowned at me and said, 'I have to have the badge on the front. You of all people should know how important that is!'
So I'm on the lookout for some good savings!
Tink, I believe it was Dinah who recieved someone else's details in the post. Get a harsh letter written to the company and you might get some freebies!
I watched Frozen Planet last night Tete, I enjoyed itLoved the penguin stone-thief at the start, was making me laugh a lot!
OH went to the nurse again yesterday and now has a fancy bandage sleevey thing, very cool looking! She also said that if he really wants to he can play rugby at the weekend! I put the kibosh on that one quickly!
I was just thinking this morning (whilst looking at my Zac Efron calendar that's still on September) that I might order a personalised photo calendar for my Mum and Dad for Christmas as I did one a few years ago and they loved it... came into work and there's a Groupon deal in my inbox for photo calendars for £4, don't mind if i do!
I'm off to the in-laws tonight to make my cashmere jumper wheat bags so I feel like I'm making good steps towards Christmas now!

Aye it was me who received someone else's details. I dropped them an email saying I wasn't happy about their data protection if this could happen, and they sent me £25 in vouchers.
Lol NIM would have got the look if he'd said that Birdie! That said I can't imagine he ever would as he's much more of a bargain hunter than me.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That chart's a little swanky! Great to see some £0 on there :j
I like the Hunter wellies. Matalan have started doing their own styled ones with the long socks so I think that's the closest I'll ever get! I just stick with my uggs in winter, pop some spotty wellingtons on when it snows.
Going to see The Help today. Love Emma Stone so it's been on my list to see since I heard about it. OH's was a little upset before he went to work as it seems we have the worst of all the superstars doing a signing near us on Sunday. Bless!
Looking like we'll be able to save about £100 this month without too much of a struggle into the car account :T If we can keep this up, plus the extra £250 over our non-CT months we'll easily make the savings for OH's car insurance.0 -

Ok I'll ask, what in the nine hells is a hunter wellies? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Posh wellies, OH wants these ones (I think!). Anyone who lives in a farming/country community (especially if there are a lot of horsey girls!) will see them on every second person they see in winter.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
