Oh lordy I actually gasped at those shoes! Soooo beautiful! :happyhear

Think he wants posh wellies since a) *Everyone* at the rugby club has Hunters and he wants to fit in (peer pressure never ends does it?! :p) and b) he's sick of having cold wet feet during the winter so wants the fancy lined boots to keep him toasty warm and dry. TBH he hasn't really got anything 'nice' that he feels a bit special in (everything he wears is either bought in the Next sale or it's from George... and then I start prancing about in my new Uggs to rub it in :o) and if wellies make him feel nice and like he fits in with the cool crowd, well I'm not going to argue with him! I may have found them for about £20 less online, just have to check that I'm looking at the right model, it's a welly minefield out there! :p

Subtely keep the receipt just in case, lad at work got Hunters a few weeks ago after going on and on about them for weeks, and the first time he wore them they leaked! Also it's quite common for wellies to be a different size to normal shoes.

Why does he want wellies for Christmas? I know he's a bloke but in his shoes (like my footwear humour?) Id rather have £20 wellies and £80 worth of real shoes . Granted he'd get some very funny looks in those but I just wanted an excuse to browse shoe !!!!!!. ETA. If he has to have fancy Hunter wellies, at least get them to clearly display their bling, like these :D Okay I may just be turning your poor hubby into a shoe cross dresser now. Time to step away from KG.

I just bought you not one but TWO pairs of Blahniks and your looking at pricey shoes again. step away darling.

Yeah I've heard mixed reviews about them, but Mum's got some and loves them, and they're *the* welly to have to will have to hope for the best. He tried them on at lunch time so we know what size he needs (with shorts so his bony knees were sticking out! Shorts in November! That boy is a walking furnace I swear, I was wearing tights, dress, cardy, scarf and coat and I was still chilly!)

ETA: OH generally does go against the crowd as a rule too NIM, but sometimes he spits his dummy out and demands that he has the same as the cool kids! I'll never get him! :o

Ooooh and I still need to see the Blahniks! :)

Just for archer. DD was 10 days overdue. This baby was due yesterday but no signs he's ready to vacate yet. My mum (who seems to be able to tell these things) has said the 5th all along but would love to prove her wrong as she can be so smug when she's right and I'd never hear the end of it for the rest of his life :rotfl:

DH wears shorts all the time too. He's was a watersports instructor working on a lake up north for years before we moved down here, and now he works as a white water raft guide so I don't think he actually feels the cold anymore.

His wellies have to be top of the range ones too but he gets discounts through work so can't complain *that* much
