Posh wellies, OH wants these ones (I think!). Anyone who lives in a farming/country community (especially if there are a lot of horsey girls!) will see them on every second person they see in winter.
I've seen those before. Tended to laugh at the people who wore them mind. The people who'll wear them are the ones whos bought them a horse and pays someone to actually take care of them so they can ride it twice and forget about it. Anytime someone came onto the yard to buy a horse in a pair of those the price tended to double, and a good night would be had.
Not that I'm saying your OH is like that mind you but in Ireland you wouldnt see a real countryman or woman within 100 yards of them. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

I thought I was being a right smart@rse last night and found some other wellies for OH, sturdier and warmer than Hunters but for half the price, told OH about them and he frowned at me and said, 'I have to have the badge on the front. You of all people should know how important that is!'Lol NIM would have got the look if he'd said that Birdie! That said I can't imagine he ever would as he's much more of a bargain hunter than me.Ok I'll ask, what in the nine hells is a hunter wellies?
I've had a brainwave - Dinah you need to get NIM some cheapy wellies and sew on a Hunteresque label saying Bargain Hunter - how chic?!I watched Frozen Planet last night Tete, I enjoyed itLoved the penguin stone-thief at the start, was making me laugh a lot!
Aw yeah he was so cute! David Attenborough: "Well it takes one to know one"!
When you say you've been sent other people's bank statements, do they have your name on and other people's account details or is it their name but your address? Just interested...
Right I'm altering my list: I'm going to do this little blog project to include my previous points 1 and 2, freeing up an extra space for one more item (because 11 is a weird number to have on a list!):
1. Do the 30 Day Declutter (inc laptop and car)
2. Catch up on correspondence
3. Run 96 miles (half the Coast to Coast distance)
4. Get my 5k PB under 34 minutes
5. Finish 2 baby blankets
6. Read 2 books
7. Write my Christmas cards ready to send out early Dec
8. Work out what I'm getting everyone and start Christmas shopping
9. Bring packed lunch to work 20 days out of 22
10. Cross off 2 Day Zero items
11. Have some money left at the end of the month to move to savings
12. Have at least 6 social engagements (ie more than one a week avg)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Luckily my OH isn't a real countryman, just a rugby player wanting to fit in with his rich mates!
Fashion's fashion at the end of the day, even Barbour's becoming a fashionable label to wear; when my Dad bought them because they were the best thing to wear when out walking and hunting I wouldn't have been seen dead in a wax jacket, now I'm trying them on with the Liberty print inside and coo-ing!

LOVE the bargain hunter wellies, I joked recently to NIM that when we have our first child he's going to be disappointed if the scan doesn't reveal they were on buy one get one free!
I think I may well join you on the 30 day declutter. I'm actually equally worked up by house clutter as lack of money atm, so this would work very well to motivate me to shift some more 'stuff'. We even have a pile in my study of metal for the rag and bone man.... why, why haven't we put it out yet?!Fashion's fashion at the end of the day, even Barbour's becoming a fashionable label to wear; when my Dad bought them because they were the best thing to wear when out walking and hunting I wouldn't have been seen dead in a wax jacket, now I'm trying them on with the Liberty print inside and coo-ing!
My school had a compulsory uniform, including coat. And yep, the winter one was a waxed jacket. The smell of 18 of those wet in a hot classroom in winter was overpowering. I can't smell one now without wanting to gag - the power of memory!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning all!
On the Wellie debate, I got some Cath Kidston ones for my birthday last year, and I was so happy when we had all the snow as I got to wear them every day! Even a light shower is enough for me to contemplate wearing them...
Can I add my November goals too please? Didn't succeed in everything last month but having the goals there definitely made a difference.
1. Update signature (and hope no-one shouts at me)
2. Cut up (and cancel once clear) CC1
3. Pay off CC1
4. Sell 20 things on eBay
5. Copy all dooyoo reviews to Ciao and cash out
6. Pass driving test
7. Finish all Christmas shopping
8. Do 400 minutes of exercise
9. Lose 7lbs
10. Pass next 3 AAT assignments and get exams booked
As that works out to one goal every three days, and today is 3rd Nov, I have just cut up that stupid CC - hurrah!
Dinah and NIM, you have done a fantastic job last month and its really good to see those graphs, once again you have inspired me, hard and fast is now the mantra!

Yeah, I think they've done another update so the original poster's posts are in green. I don't like it!
Well done for cutting up the CC Shrimpy! Lovely feeling!
I also love the idea of the 30 day declutter. I've been trying for months to declutter but we seem to have as much as ever, it's just not going away! I clear a space and it gets filled by something else, I have no idea! we must have 'Stuff' fairies visiting in the night!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
