Have you been doing the fashion thing on STP Pilchard? I quite enjoy it but it's time consuming, maybe I'll get some more done in the run up to Christmas if things ever calm down in this place!
INDIA Lara!! WOWOW, that would be amazing, doing what, similar mobile phone things?
I was chatting to a friend last night about that boy, I was all indignant about it and she said I'm taking it too seriously which is maybe right, but I'm damned if I'm ever going to let a man walk all over me again, especially one I haven't even met! I don't know if he's nice really. He has a cat and can spell, which is a massive rarity in the internet dating pool, so maybe he IS worth persevering with! :undecidedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Tete - he sounds like a keeper!
Finding an internet dating man who spells and hopefully uses grammar correctly is a rarity, he could be a pearl amongst swine.....give him a chance, but if he lets you down again, tell him to clear off

With the Clubcard vouchers, are they both definitely for the same account? I only ask because I somehow ended up with a regular Clubcard and a CC Clubcard so get 2 mailouts with vouchers and I'm very mixed up with what's what.
You might be taking the Internet Boy thing a little too much to heart... I understand you've been burned in the past but you can't tar all men with the same brush. Maybe he cancelled because his last GF had screwed him over and he got scared? You never know.Give it a shot, and if it's a no-go then so be it, at least you tried.
I just wish I knew someone good enough for you, sadly I don't!
India would be awesome Lara, good luck! Good luck with the deadlines too!
Been showing off my jumper at work and already been asked to make one for a colleagues little boy next year!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Way to go on the jumper commission - you could totally make it a business!!
I still think you're all being very generous to this boy, I mean how scary is it to meet someone off the internet who you've only had a few emailed conversations with?I'm not upset about it at all, just can't be @rsed with the hassle of it if he's going to be a twit. Will see what he says I guess.
Vouchers are definitely from the same account, I'll maybe see if there's a number to ring.
Now. Ebay help please! Buyer has just contacted me to say they haven't received their item which was posted on 26.11 - she wants a tracking number so she can ring royal mail ... I just sent it standard first class with proof of posting so it won't have a tracking number will it? I did offer the option of recorded delivery on the invoice for an extra £1 but she didn't take me up on it... What I'm worried about is that the post office lady has written an M from the postcode as a H so if she thought my M was a H maybe the sorting people did? If so, it could be in Chester rather than outer London :eek:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi.
Can I just draw your attention to this if you are not aware already?

Don't worry Fermi, I'm sure it'll be done when Dinah has spare time to move us all to a new thread. Gracie's probably keeping her busy!
Not too sure what to suggest about the parcel. Don't suppose you put a return address on it did you? If she didn't pay for recorded delivery then it was a risk she had to take... but I really don't know who takes the hit when it's ebay?! Do they have a section in the FAQs about it? If there was a postcode mix-up then it could still get there once they've worked out where it actually wants to be going.
Maybe you're right about Internet Boy too, I know I said give him a chance but you don't seem bothered so maybe just leave it be and keep looking- perhaps on a pay site like you said. Maybe he did get nervous, but if that's the case maybe he's not the right kind of person for you?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
A polite reminder.....
You tell 'em, Fermi!!
Hope you had a nice birthday Archerslucky having 2 cakes. That's my dream! I have to badger people for one these days.
That's great news on the house, Shrimpy! Will be a nice fresh start to 2013, for sure.
I got my new phone, finally!! It's all fast and swanky and panoramic. Sent our old phones off this morning so hoping that hits the bank next week.
Had a talk with OH last night about money and saving and bless his heart, he said "I think we're very frugal!" And I asked him what he meant "well, if we have £50 to go out with we spend £60" I was just sat there like honey, what rock did you grow up under. Unsure if I should start my own diary or not. It's tempting! Plus it's be a place to move the chitchat until Dinah starts a new diary. Her shop seems to be doing really well by the looks of Facebook!0 -
dont want to annoy anyone posting more over 5000!! Sorry! But I haven't checked in for a while! Cinny if you start a new one please post a link!
Hope Poppy is ok Wendz! so cute she can say Christmas!! I thought of you the other day as I saw a sample sale that I thought you would like and it was on Tottenham court road but then I couldn't find the ad (or remember who it was for!) I just knew when I read it the first time I thought of you! Sorry! V jealous of where you work. I was going to apply to who I think it is for their grad scheme but it wasn't quite right for me. Would love to work in a FMCG industry one day though I think. (also I hear they have a very cheap shop...?) I might have got it completely wrong though of where you work so please ignore me!
Dinahs shop looks really good! very happy for her! Hope there wasnt too much snow though and you could get to the post office for your deliveries! I ordered something online the ohter day and I didnt see until I'd bought it that there was a 16-21 day delivery estimate! Rediculous! I think I ordered it on the 1st dec but its a very christmassy gift so I hope it gets here in time!
Birdie, I LOVE your jumper (and your hair!!) well done for making itwhen thinking about lights and washability next time you could always have the lights point through the holes and then velcro strips over the back which hold them in place?(maybe I'm not describing this well..) it looks amazing though! I've not got a christmas jumper yet.. I had a nice mohair one last year but its gone a bit bobbly now! OH has a few though so maybe I can just steal and wear with leggings...?!
Spent waaay too much money recently on treats and christmas presents but i love the city in winter, it seems like there is so much on (and in summer actually but i was stuck inside most of the summer studying! I also love spoiling people and we're not in too bad a position (so should be saving!) so I think we will bounce back!! Need to save though as I am determined to get a holiday for next winter! Havent skiied for far too long!
Hope you had a great birthday Archers and Poolie I like the sound of the bits youve chosen for mrs P, I'm sure she will like them and I hope everything works out for you. I'm thinking of you.
Tete, if the work woman is annoying you, just use it as incentive to work to what you really want! haven't fully caught up on your thread yet but it sounds like you are really getting there and getting what you want! So what if it took you longer to realise what you wanted - I think you will have more to offer to the children and can use the skills you learnt pre-teaching in teaching (if you know what I mean) I am a big advocate of trying a few different things to get skills to use later in life!
hows the new Job Nim?
