Sorry to hear about the op Shrimpy, hope they can fit you in soon.

Dinah - loving all the craft things that you have made, they are gorgeous.

Hope Grace puts some weight on soon. Although Poppy isn't as small as Grace she has always been a littlen and she didn't gain weight for a while so i was constantly trying to fatten her up with cheese and stuff.

Loving that our advertising is working with the ombre stuff ;).

Goodness! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHRIMPY!! _party_ Completely slipped my mind with the op talk. Sorry! Have I got you on FB? I get so confused with MSEnames and RLnames I don't fully know who's who :o
Also, you're not MY friend on facebook *sniff*

I hope it's just actually him and not someone I just *think* is him :o

I'm sure the ombre hair looks great, Birdie! Can't wait to see it :D Sure you've been bitten by le hairdye bug now and there will always be some slight adjustment to make.

Will be more than happy to test your website, Dinah! Might accidentally go through with a complete a full transaction though *ahem*

Great news today! Job No2 have nearly doubled my working hours :) It's only temporary over Christmas as one of the other receptionists walked out last night, so they'll get a new person in after the New Year. But it'll help over Christmas. I just need to sort care out for Ryder!

I need a little bit of help! I want my Brother to come with us to the Mick Foley gig. I know he'll love it. But now I need to think - do I just buy one ticket for my Brother and suffer the wrath of the family for not buying his OH one too? Even though she doesn't like the guy, or comedy for that matter. Or should I get her one and not really enjoy the night as much myself? Or the last option is buy OH and I tickets, and tell my Brother afterwards? It's nice that things aren't so horrible between me and his OH but it's moments like this that remind me how awkward it still is :undecided
  • Happy Birthday Shrimpy! Hope you enjoy your trip to the Harry Potter tour. I still haven't been because no one wants to go with me *sniff*

No one here is my friend on facebook *sniff sniff*

I'm sure you're hair looks lovely Birdie! I have never dyed my hair, I like my natural colour too much but when the greys start coming through (well more than the 2 I have at the moment) I will probably reconsider!

Good news on the increased hours Cinny! As for the ticket situation, I would maybe say something to her before you buy the tickets, along the lines of that you were only going to buy one for your brother because you were under the impression that she wouldn't enjoy it but if she wanted to come you would get her a ticket too?

Sorry to hear about your problems Poolie. Hopefully you can both talk about things openly when she comes back *hugs*.

Hope Grace manages to put some weight back on Dinah and NIM and that it's nothing serious.

Well I have applied for my first (and only) credit card and have been accepted. It was quite scary to be honest but I know it will come in handy. Did a SOA yesterday and apparently I should have £200 spare every month, but have no idea where it goes! Will have to start a serious spending diary after payday (tomorrow) and update my budget spreadsheet accordingly.

I *think* I've just added you Cinny - at least I hope it's you! I get confused with the multiple names thing as well!

Great news on your job! If I lived closer I would gladly look after Ryder for you, he's such a cutie. Tough one about your brother... I think I would just tell him about the tickets and maybe say he was welcome to come along with you as you didn't think it was his GF's thing... Although from what you've said in the past I gather she would probably insist on coming along even if she didn't really want to see it?

Wendz your job always sounds so exciting! I can't remember who makes the Ombre, is it L'Oreal? I'm so out of touch! My friend has just moved to London in a marketing role actually, but I can't remember the name of the company :o

ETA I'll be your friend Ruby! No idea how to go about finding you though... technology challenges me at the best of times...

Figured it was you befriending me Shrimpy! :) Hooray for being able to do the HP tour again! :j Do you want to be my FB friend Ruby?! :)

LOL Wendz, sadly all marketing really does work on me! :o I can't watch the home shopping channels because I end up *needing* the rubbish that they're selling! :p

Cinny... how about buying 3 tickets as you were going with 'a friend' who then dropped out so you decided to give the spare to your brother?! ;) (Not as diplomatic at Ruby's suggestion though!) Good news about the extra hours, very handy for Christmas! :)

You can add me if you like, Ruby! :)

Thanks for the ideas, diplomatic Ruby and cunning Birdie! I think I might just leave it at me and OH :undecided we don't go out out a great deal any more. Or maybe invite lots of people so her presence is diluted? Although when I invited our wrestling friends around for Royal Rumble this year with the same idea in mind my Brother decided he didn't like them so cancelled on us altogether :rotfl:

Marketing gets me too, Birdie! Nothing was on the other week and OH and I ended up on the shopping channels wanting a set of pans (they melted a plastic bag on to one and it didn't stick. IT JUST PEELED RIGHT OFF!) a different kind of steam mop, a paint pad pro (forever wanting a paint pad pro! I want to paint walls in seconds!) and some no-water-needed car cleaner. In about 5 minutes :o

Oh Lord, don't mention the Paint Pad Pro to me... I *need* one!!!! :o Reviews of it online from real people are pretty bad, but I have to have it! :p Surely if Tommy Walsh says it's awesome, it's got be great, right? He wouldn't lie about a decorating tool would he?! :)

Birdie, that's SO sneaky! I don't know if I could be as diplomatic as Ruby and Shrimpy, but sometimes it's worth it to keep the peace.

Glad things are better at work, Cinny, and great to have some extra hours (= extra bucks). Hope you find a lovely Ryder-sitter :)

Happy birthday Shrimpy! Hope they reschedule the op soon so you're all recuperated in time to enjoy Christmas fully. Glad it didn't clash with your HP visit either :D

Sorry to hear about your situation, Poolie. It's really sad, but I hope you manage to sort things out as best you can. Hope you've got lots of family and friends to spend Christmas with.

Dinah, good luck with the shop! I'll definitely have a play with the website - your new stuff is really sweet. Hope that Grace puts on some weight over the next couple of weeks; I had to laugh at the idea of her tucked up with a little tubby belly.

I think a credit card will be really useful for you Ruby - it doesn't sound like you're planning to run wild! If you get into the right habit of paying it off every month and reaping the cashback/points benefit - no probs! We've been using an M&S card for all our food/petrol etc and paying it off each month and we get about £20 in vouchers every quarter and lots of points vouchers.

No chance in hell! We got a rip off one from B&Q when we did our kitchen and it's fricken amaze. We're super lazy painters so all we did was clean down the walls and attack with the pad, didn't even have to move things from the sides because there were NO DRIPS!

Reward cards seem like a great idea, Poddle. It's something I need to look into, I just don't know if I could trust OH with a CC. He's a devil with them. Vouchers and rewards are always good for money you would have spent anyway.
