First sale through the site - no idea if it's the main one or facebook but I'm grinning from ear to ear.

I do feel guilty though, I charge flat rate postage but they've ordered a fairly light item and I reckon they'll have been overcharged by £1. I guess that's what happens with flat rate postage, some are under and some are over, and I can't come up with a postage rule that will mean no one ever over or underpays, but I still feel really bad about it.

Yay! Congrats on your first sale!

The site looks very professional :)

Would anyone like a free night in a hotel (Hilton Coventry) on Saturday night? We were staying there and going to the good food show on Sunday, but our babysitters are poorly so we can't go :( Can email over the reservation details, nice hotel, pool, upgraded room etc. Seems a shame to waste it.

Shame you can't go this weekend Dinah :( I'm geeking out to Harry Potter this weekend but I hope you find someone who can use it.

  • Oh how rubbish for you guys to miss out, did you find someone to take the hotel? If I'd seen this yesterday I might have been able to give you some money for it or something as I'm in the Midlands.

I am all shopped out! Was in Guildford this morning (the hill is a !!!!!! when you don't know where things are - up and down at least 3 times).

Have started on Mrs P's present. Unfortunately, 1 shop didn't have it in the store, but came home and 3 articles ordered online which came with free delivery. Went into Debenhams for something saw it, but they didn't have her size, went away and was in later for my dad. Again didn't have the size so I asked and they had some available online. Went back to the item I was looking at for Mrs P and this time decided to ask. They had the size I needed in the store somewhere so the assistant went looking but could not find it, not available online, so I went to leave and here is the item on the model. Had a quick look at the label and it was the size I needed, they were happy to sell me the one of the model. Got it 30% due to the sale as well. I am not looking for something similar, same material in a dark red for her.

BIL is done, Sister - mmmmmm would it be wrong to order a bomb?, Mum - have an idea both haven't seen anything yet. Dad - ordered online, free delivery and also £1.06 cashback care of quidco.

So between Guildford, the largest M&S and Tesco in the world and online, I am done! Luckily all paid for by cash or I have put money into the bank when I paid by debit card.

I was in Guildford this morning Poolie, probably walked past you a couple of times! I know what you mean about that hill, especially when you have a load of shopping!

I only ended up with 3 bags which is not bad going. Did get a look round the shops which is why I ended up online shopping. I was only there from 10 till 1. Parked on the University Campus and walked it into town, nothing like some free parking on a weekend.

You can't talk clothes and not post links, Poolie! Have we taught you nothing? ;) Always nice to buy presents with money you've saved rather than having to worry about budgeting it around things.

Did everyone have a nice weekend? Saw all the tree-y photos on FB :) Spent last night snuggled up watching Christmas movies with the tree lit and tea lights twinkling away. Ryder has no idea what's going on in our house right now, keeps trying to eat the baubles!

Getting our new phones delivered today. I caved when I got my upgrade deals through and ended up with the new iPhone :o Woops! We're getting £236 for our old phones though, so that's quite nice :)

Working until 9pm tonight. Have 3 hours at home with Ryder though, so it's not too shabby. But I'm yawning already with a twitchy eye so I'm hoping I can just make it to home time without snoozing off!

Morning all! We have snow here!! And the office is suitably freezing, someone gave us one of those old-fashioned blowy heater things but it doesn't seem to be doing much apart from stinking and making my contact lenses dry :(

Had a very nice weekend, met up with a friend for hot choccy :) although was supposed to have an internet date yesterday and he cancelled at the last minute with no reason/excuse after about three weeks of contact . Honestly most of the men on those sites just seem to want someone to send emails to - that's the last blimmin thing I want, I do enough of that at work! Maybe it's time to sign up to one of the ones where you pay an extortionate fee, maybe members of those sites are more keen to get their money's worth.

And breathe. That's exciting about the iphone Cinny :) you won't regret it! Well done on all the Christmas shopping Poolie, I managed to at least make a start at the weekend so feel a bit better about things.

Congrats on the sale Dinah! Grace looked so cute in the FB pictures this weekend :)

Also, what's going to be the theme of the new thread now we're almost at 5000 posts???
