Aww how sweet that Poppy can (kind of!) say Christmas! Doesn't seem 2 minutes since last year when she was pulling decorations off the tree! :)

Very exciting stuff about the house Shrimpy! :j I'd still put decorations up, maybe not loads but some, to make things suitably festive just in case there are any delays and you don't move until after Christmas. :)

I'll post a pic of my jumper once it's finished and lit up! :) So excited about wearing it! I really need to focus my efforts on gifts for other people though... running out of time, eek! :o

Hope you do eventually get to meet Mr Internet Man Tete :) If it worked out it'd be a funny story after all, 'How'd you guys meet?', 'Well, he chickened out of our first meeting so I left him to sweat for a while until I decided I felt like giving him a second chance and the rest is history!' :)

  • Thanks guys, you're all so sweet :D I'm waiting for OH to get home from work so I can have my birthday tea! Had a lovely day being spoiled at work, though had some up and downs as basically a courier chucked a present for me over our fence and didn't leave a card. So my gift sat in a puddle getting rained on for 5 days while I thought my parents hadn't acknowledged my birthday! Luckily what was inside is fine, but would have been so much nicer to have that this morning so I didn't have to open it alone etc. Ah well, I have had 2 cakes so can't complain! Got a meal out tomorrow with work people, then nice things planned over the weekend so I'm dragging the celebrating out!

Cannot wait to see this jumper Birdie! I got a primark one but it is sooo itchy.

Amazing news about the house Shrimpy! So excited for you.

And how cute does Poppy sound :)

Oh my gosh I love your jumper Birdie! It looks truly spectacular! I'm sure it will go down a treat!

Happy belated birthday Archers! Hope you enjoy the rest of your celebrating!

Great news on the house Shrimpy! I'd be tempted to put a few decs up in the new house if you are in before Christmas!

Aww it's so sweet that Poppy can say Christmas Wendz. One of my friend's has 2 little girls and the older one (4 years old) was telling the younger one (10 months) all about father christmas the other night, it was so adorable to watch!

Got the work Christmas lunch today. I'm kind of dreading it because my boss never talks to me and yet I have to sit opposite her! Oh well at least the food is supposed to be good!

Sadly I didn't think about something as prosaic as washing the jumper when I started! :o The tree is well and truly attached; lights are poking through holes and sewn into place on the front piece, then there's a little bit of padding and a back piece, then it's all been securely sewn onto the jumper. When it comes to washing, it'll have to be very careful handwashing/spot cleaning! :p At least I haven't closed up the 'bucket' aka battery pack holder so I can take it out and change the batteries. :)

Hope you enjoy your Christmas lunch Ruby :) I have mine next week and have to find a secret santa gift and I don't know what to buy! :o

Had a bit of a shock last night; we haven't seen a couple of our friends for ages as they're always coming up with reasons not to come to various get-togethers so didn't really know how they were doing other than updates on FB (weekends away, soppy statuses (stati?) about how great their husband/wife is etc), was texting her last night as I'd heard that they were having some marital problems and turns out they're getting a divorce which should be complete by Christmas! Can't believe it, they only got married last year and now it's all over, just like that. You never know what's going behind closed doors, eh?! :(

  • I have a clubcard question - can anyone help? I've just received two vouchers in the post, one for £5 and one for £1.50. When I log in to my account only the £5 one shows up. Why is that? Can I add the £1.50 one manually somehow? Bit perturbed now as for the last year or so I've been ignoring the vouchers when they come assuming they'll be online anyway but actually there are only 7 dating back to April 2011. I definitely haven't spent them in store because the little Martin voice in my head won't let me :o

Good morning by the way! :D:o

  • Birdie, at least with the Christmas jumper it's not as though you're going to be wearing it all the time, just make sure you don't spill gravy/cranberry sauce/brandy butter on it!! Shocker about your friends, but it's true you never do know what's going on, and I've always said it - those loved-up facebook statuses are always suspect!!

Ruby good luck for the meal. I have the opposite problem with my boss in that she won't STOP talking to me! I'm in the office on my own with her yest, today and tomorrow and she won't shut up. I think she's trying to be pally because she knows I'm really not happy here anymore but I'm not interested, she's been part of what I'm unhappy with so she needn't bother trying to be my best bud now! Not only that but I can't get any work done while she's waffling away!

    Morning everyone

Hope you are all well....and enjoying the snow for those that have got it!! We only have cloud and frost in Selby, probably for the best as I have to drive down to Essex tomorrow and then on Sunday before working on Sunday night

I have now logged on with loads of survey sites and am trawling through the whole website to try and find ideas to get more money coming in....and reduce the amount going out! I know it's baby steps but I want me and OH to sit down and go through all our financial stuff and see where we can improve.

Hope everyone has a good day and the dreaded Christmas shopping is going well.......Dinah's website looks fantastic and I'm seriously tempted to buy her Reindeer hot chocolate pack but I must resist!!! :rotfl:

Wendz that is so cute that Poppy can say Christmas.

Tete - you're just right, let him make it up to you at a time of your own convenience :) Is he nice?

Things good here, though some eye-watering deadlines I don't think I'll manage to meet  Went mad and applied for an internship in India for 3 months next year ooops / eek.
