Oh no, hope your mum's dog is OK, that's awful! Never would have thought one little BP tablet could be so seriousWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Poor little guy
How's he doing, Ruby? Dogs do have the most annoying knack of getting themselves into real trouble with their greediness! Ryder is doing much better now though, he's getting a bath after his dinner walk today though so that should cheer him up!
Where did you go looking for the tree? We got ours from Next of all places, one of the snow effect ones, we got lots of compliments on it last year. But that depends on if you're after real or fake!
Love those crochet flowers, Tete. I wish I was knifty enough to crochet, my Mum tried to teach me so many times but I just couldn't get my head around it.
Looking forward to hearing how the craft stalls went!
Did everyone have a nice weekend? Ended up watching Stephen Kings IT last night so I'm surprised I didn't have any clown nightmares *shudder* I keep on bugging OH by saying "This time next week... THE DECORATIONS WILL BE UP" or "This time next week... THERE GOES MR HUMBUG!" :snow_grin0 -
Dog update - He's going to be ok apparently *fingers crossed*. They were really worried because he's such a small dog and his blood pressure was dropping so much. But after throwing up a few times and having lots of fluids, he's back to his crazy energetic self.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend and you're all trying to stay dry!
Back to work today and I really have that Monday morning feeling. Coffee is going to be my friend I think. Colleague 1 aka my line manager is back from annual leave tomorrow. To be honest, it's been quite nice not having him here, we've all managed to actually get some work done!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I can't blimmin believe it's December on Saturday! I'm so unprepared, not even thought about getting things for OH's Advent calendar and it's too late to get my house out and ask OH or my Mum to fill it! Might have to just get chocolates to go in them this year.
At least I started working on my first Christmas present for my Mum on Saturday, a soft cotton/jersey infinity scarf, will be blogged when it's finished!I'm currently Pinning things faster than I can even think about making them though!
Lovely crochet flowers Tete; I'm trying to make fabric and felt ones for a couple of projects, with mixed results!
Had fun on Friday afternoon building Santa's grotto although it was a bit of a challenge as we were just given an ugly green gazebo tent thingy and a couple of boxes of manky fabric and tinsel to work with! I couldn't believe the goodies that the kids were getting from Santa though; a giftbag with a small Cadbury's selection box, a bag of Snow Bites, a tube of Buttons and a little pack of gummy sweets! In my day it was a colouring book or something equally simple!I wouldn't be impressed if I took my toddler and came away with a bag full of junk food like that!
Your warning about Primark running out of Christmas jumpers was failry correct Cinny! There were some left but they weren't all that great so I left them. I've got a red jumper that I'm going to decorate myself with felt, just have to pick a design.
Glad your Mum's dog's OK Ruby, who would think that one little tablet could cause so much harm?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I thought it might be because he was a small dogSilly little thing, glad things are looking good for him
Sorry about the jumpers, Birdie! My Sister almost ended up getting a 12-13yo one from the kid section but she said the wool was really itchy so maybe it's for the best. What design will you be going for?
I thought of your house advent the other day! OH wanted this bunting that was little pockets for an advent (like what you made your OH but with stockings instead of buckets) but we couldn't think of what we could put in it. You should just have it out with little chocolates, it's far too pretty from what I remember to not be used.
OH has bought us that spray snow thing for windows this year and wants me to make stencils. I say, instead of going for ordinary we go for something more us. Like wrestlers with christmas hats on - and we can turn their lines into something festive like "Lay the Christmaseth down" or "Santa's a Broski" or go Game of Thrones with "Christmas is Coming" and the Direwolf sigil. But he's all boring and wants candy canes and holly :undecided should I just go for what I want before he can stop me?!
Done an SOA this morning as we need to reign our spending in a little if we want to start saving. And I'm so confused. I think I need a spending diary because we apparently have £630 a month surplus and that isn't the case! I think Ryder must eat it.0 -
Not too sure what design to do on my jumper... maybe a Robin, or is that too obvious?!
You should follow your geeky heart with the stencils!*Seriously*
I'm not going to put up OH's bucket calendar this year, it's so blinking heavy it's a nightmare to hang up! Going to find/quickly make a fabric or paper one!
Oh and I've been meaning to ask, how are things going at work now?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

It has to be done!! And he can have a little hat and scarf on. Like all birds worth putting on jumpers do.
I'm going to make the stencils this afternoon so we'll see what he saysAnd if he says no I'll just put them up anyway!
Couldn't you take the buckets off the line, and hide them around your flat with the treats in so every morning he has to have a little hunt to find them? (I'd also change them around every day so he can memorise where certain ones are for the day he needs to find them!)
Work is a lot better though, thanksPeople apologised which is nice as I just expected them to gloss over it and just be nicer than go out of their way to make sure I was okay. So sometimes kicking up a fuss does pay off!

Morning,
Eek about the jumpers, meant to be gettign OH one. Hopefully they will still have them as its London store.
Don't think the benefit thing will be that great , prob just 10% off but still better than nothing. We are having a christmas 'fair' at work and they have benefit and a couple of other companies coming in and they have santa for the kids and my work get them a present which we have to choose. OH is bringing Poppy in so should be good!
Cinny - glad work is going better.
I wanted to make an advent calendar for Poppy but never got round to it, think will do it next year plus she will understand more then anyway.0 -
I saw something on Pinterest (where else?!
) for little ones for Advent; instead of sweets or toys it was a different Christmas book to read with them every day. Such a nice idea, totally doing that when I've got babies!
As for hiding the buckets... we don't really have enough hiding places! He'll just end up looking in drawers and cupboards and discovering the secret messes I've got too!
Your work Christmas fair thing sounds great Wendz! Hope Poppy enjoys seeing Santa!
Glad things are better at work now Cinny, sometimes people just need to be reminded what is and what isn't acceptable.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh yes I have seen that is lovely! Poppy has 11 books from me for christmas lol, got a good set from the book people for a tenner with the gruffalo and other books in.
I just randomly went on amazon and they have loads of benefit stuff reduced so managed to get the thing i wanted for my sister for 15.75 instead of 23 as wouldn't have been that cheap when they come in.0
