Hi all,
Hope all is ok Dinah, I am sure Grace is keeping you very busy.
Birdie - glad you had a great holiday. Does sound like a great idea with the badges!
Poddle - glad you had a fab birthday, sounds like you were deservably spoilt.
We are off christmas shopping today yay, hoping to get most of OH's family done and my mum. Then should only be left with my dad, sister and sisters oh. My sister wants something from benefit but they are coming into my work on the 11th so hoping they will have some discounts.
Anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend?0 -
Here. Alive. Crafting. First fair tomorrow. ARGH ARGH ARGH! Going to be putting first products on my facebook shop over the weekend too, but if anyone would like to like (shameless self promotion) that'd be fab, first look at my products, and make it look like I haven't been setting it up in a mad rush when I hand out business cards tomorrow.

Morning everyone
Right, I have started doing more surveys to get some points and have actually got OH to agree that the finances are not good. His attitude is usually that it's only money but he has finally agreed that we can sit down and try to cut back the bills and other bits that we waste money on. I'm quite proud of the fact that we have done most our Christmas shopping using either clubcard points or amazon vouchers that we've got through cashback sites so the money we saved for Christmas is still there! I did suggest to him that he started doing personalised poems for people as he did one for my dad's funeral and everyone said how moving it was. looking at websites, however, there seems to be a lot of them doing the same thing but I'll think of something else. I have also thought about using ebay more and maybe going round charity shops and cheap shops to get stuff and re-sell. On Saturday we are also going to sort through stuff in the garage to see what we can sell.
Right, that's it for now but will post more later xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Thank goodness you're agreeing to refrain from using your iPad like a loser Poddle!
Glad you had a wonderful birthday!
Benefit come into your work Wendz?! Awesome! Love their stuff, just wish I could afford it more!
I'm impressed you're so organised for Christmas too, I've got as far as looking for inspiration on Pinterest and trying (and mostly failing) to make some pretty felt flowers last night! Got some ideas so hope to pick up some materials tomorrow to get started.
No idea what I'm actually buying people though! OH and I have been playing around with the idea of booking a long weekend away rather than buying presents for each other this year so that'll be nice. Not sure where though, I'm thinking romantic secluded cabin with a hot tub under the stars, he's thinking beachside hotel in Spain!
Best of luck for the craft fair tomorrow Dinah! :T
Not too much planned for the weekend, hoping to go dodgy Christmas jumper shopping (i.e. Primark!) at some point as my friend is having a party in a couple of weeks ('No Christmas Jumper = No Entry!') and going to my friend's tomorrow night for a girly catch-up over pizza and cake but that's pretty much it!At least work finishes early for me today; spending the afternoon doing a volunteer job (organised through work and I was hand-picked for my craftiness
) where I'm helping to set up for a craft fair in the Cathedral, think I'm going to be roped into helping decorate Santa's Grotto! :snow_laug

Having a panic now, all the labels for what I've made need printing, and the printer has just decided it's not going to comply. Going to email them to dad and hopefully NIM can come home that way.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good luck with the shopping, Wendz! Hope you get plenty of people ticked off your list
I've done all mine, but being prepared is a curse cause I keep on buying people more stuff! OH has some more wrestling tees on the way
Sounds like a perfect volunteer job for you Birdie!I like the sound of your weekend but just as a warning, I went to Primark this week and they'd sold out of the jumpers completely
there's one with 'merry christmas ya filthy animal' on that I want!
I'm sure you'll do great with your stall and all the panic of this week will be worth it, Dinah! Will like your page on FB when I get home as the Internet connection at work is as shady as ever.
Work for me this weekend! Helping out with a promotion on Saturday (just keep thinking of the wage packet come Wednesday!) but I have Sunday off, so we're having people over for the last roast before Christmas. Hopefully watching Christmas 24 too! Had a horrible scare with Ryder last night though - his third eyelid was just permanently closed and looked all red and irritated. Could barely keep his eyes open at all last night and just looked a sorry state. I felt so bad for him!thankfully all it took was some good washes with sterile water and he's back to his normal self today. Had a panic about vet bills as while he's insured I don't think our plan covers consultations so I think I need a vet saver to float at about £100 just in case! Silly pets

That's me, DG, aw shucks Dinah :blushing: Had a look at your stuff and love it, which isn't going to help my money saving quest as I want to buy loads - self control and breath :rotfl:
Right, off to do some surveys!!Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Hi all
Dinah the stall looks fab - how did it go?? What are the cone shaped things, some sort of hot choc pack, with the marshmallows?
How was the craft fair for you Birdie? And have you managed to make a start on any of the inspiring things you've pinned? That site is such a time-sucker!
I've been doing a bit of crafting with Christmas in mind too - been giving these crochet flowers a go with a view to making them into brooches as little stocking fillers. I only got as far as the first layer but they're surprisingly not hard (so far).
Pilchard sounds like OH is getting on board now with the money stuff, must be a huge relief. And get you with all your Xmas shopping done via vouchers etc - you're so organised!
How is Ryder now Cinny? Enjoy the roast, sounds lovely - I'm having soup for dinner I think
Another one jealous of your poss Benefit goodies/discounts Wendz! I always like the look of their stuff but it's so expensive to just try out in case it ends up being no good (listen to me, it's not like it's Chanel or anything haha!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Dinah, hope you don't mind me joining in:o You're craft stall looks great, how did it go? Can I be cheeky and ask where it was held? I've been itching to do a craft fair for a while but couldn't find any small ones locally. I'm just down the road from you in Ingleby BarwickFeb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)

I really want to get a bit more crafty next year. I think it's a bit too late for me to learn to do anything before Christmas this year!
Hope the fair went well Dinah, I am liking your facebook store as I type this.
Sounds like your making a great start Pilchard!
Hope Ryder is ok Cinny. OH's mum's dog is in the vets this morning because he accidentally ate one of her blood pressure tablets! Not quite too sure on the details but it's a bit touch and go
Went to try and buy a Christmas tree yesterday but couldn't find one I liked. We only have a small flat so I don't want a massive 6ft tree! Oh well there's plenty of time yet.
