Must be something in the air! I wasn't late for work by more than 3 minutes, but for the first time I'm thankful I get up 2 hours before work so it wasn't that bad. I remember my alarm going off though, I just turned it off and snuggled back down :o It's my own fault, I've been up till about 12 despite working double shifts.

They even played them with an African flair at our resort... O Holy Night in Afrikaans anyone?! ;)

They really don't leave anything alone do they? ;) I'm not a massive fan of the old-style carols either to be fair, that would of got annoying without a bit of Bubble, Lauper or Carey to break it up.

I'm equal parts happy and sad really! But honestly I'm more terrified she'll get homesick once it sinks in that's where she lives now, and she'll only be seeing some of us once a year. I mean, I can't exactly pop over with ice cream and movies the way I could if she were homesick somewhere in England. I'll miss her probably a little too much, so I've decided to pretend it's just not happening. Because that's healthy :)

I love Tete's out and aboot photography. Definitely different than the people who mindlessly take photos and are probably thinking of how quickly they can post it on facebook! Where as Tete seems to grab the little details so it's more well, thoughtful I guess? Can't believe they were taking pictures of plaques though!
  • Aww you girls are very kind about my Creeveying, did you enjoy the 500 photos plus commentary on Facebook?? You're right tho I do try to take pics of the details that 'make' the holiday/event - like the 'Nelly' toilet in that bar or the sandwich that tasted of socks that we had to eat when we were locked in because of the hurricane...

Exciting/sad about your Sis Cinny! I can't really imagine it as I don't have any siblings but on the bright side you'll always be able to have a cheapy hol in America!

    Dinah is quiet... all OK??

I haven't actually looked at your NY photos yet Tete :o They went on FB when I was away and I didn't want to quickly skip through them on my tablet as I knew they'd be worth a good look then forgot to catch up Monday/Tuesday! Will look at them tonight! :)

Oh and Cinny, there are some holiday pics on my FB, OH was insistent that he got to put our holiday pics up for once and totally screwed it up as he was doing it from his tablet and they could only go on in batches of 30 and they're not in an album or anything! At least he's tagged me so the ones with me in show up in my pictures! If you look carefully you may spot a Randy Orton pose outside 'Jurrassic Park'! :p We also saw some guys wearing Daniel Bryan's 'No! No! No!' t-shirt and of course as soon as we saw them we started chanting 'Yes! Yes! Yes!' and they shouted back 'Noooo!'! :rotfl:

  • That explains why your holiday pics were a little, shall we say, random and inconsistent! I was waiting for the proper album to be uploaded :D

Sadly that won't be happening! Going to have to work out how to create an album and try to move the photos into it... is that possible? Useless bleeding men, eh?! I'd have gone through them all and fixed red-eye etc and made sure that they were in some sort of timeline too, but noooo he just whacks them on then complains because they're all stuck on there randomly and no-one notices the photos because they're not in an album! :p

Seeing people in WWE tops is the best! Even better if you're wearing one too, mainly for peoples reactions. When Cena and Ryder were buddying against Kane I was wearing my Broski top and someone had a Cena one on and it's like we were instant best friends for 5 minutes. But when I saw someone in a Punk tee when I had my Del Rio one on I actually thought I was going to get put to sleep. And if you wear indie wrestling tees to WWE events you get hailed like some kind of God. I had my Colt Cabana one on in April, I ended up walking around like "That's right. Bow to me, peasants"

Loved the Randy Orton pose though! You got it down to a t! :rotfl:

How is everyone today? It's finally stopped raining, which is nice, but I still didn't want to get up this morning :o

    Hehe funny NIM! :D

OH liked your comment on my photo Cinny! He said, 'Who is this girl and when do I meet her?!' ;) We were *so* close to watching TNA Live in Universal, we just didn't have time to stand around for tickets for 3 hours, then hang around waiting for the filming to start 2 hours after that! :( It was the night after we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and we're pretty sure that Hulk Hogan was staying there, the driver who took us back to Disney told us we'd missed seeing Brooke Hogan by 5 minutes!

Hey Tete just seen this and thought of you! :)

On the subject of cardigans, I need to find good long sleeved (but not too long bodied) cardis, any ideas? I really like Abercrombie & Fitch ones (my 2 favourites are A&F and have worn really well... I'm not normally much of a label wh0re but I'm sick of buying cheap clothes that warp after one wash!) and found one I like online but it's £58 + £10 P&P! Might have treated myself but I hate getting ripped off with P&P! :p Can't see any way of saving money with them either, no voucher codes etc :( Soooo, does anyone have any suggestions for nice, good quality knitwear that doesn't cost the earth? :)

The annoying thing is that we could have just forked out for a taxi to take us to the mall whilst we were away and I could've bought a couple of cardis and saved money on them but we were being really careful not to go over budget and it seemed like an expensive trip (over $100 round trip - or $5 on the bus but it would take hours- plus lunch and shopping!) that we weren't sure we could really afford! Even more annoying is that when we got back and checked the joint account we had £800 spare in there as OH had been so paranoid about running out of money for bills whilst we were gone we'd totally overestimated what we'd need (and we weren't spending money on food, diesel and everything else that we fritter cash on) :o There was a little mis-communication too as OH had told me he'd taken out £400 cash before we went and was *sure* that the balance I was relaying to him was pre-withdrawal when it had actually been post! :o Ah well, I guess it's better to come home thinking, 'Drat, I could've wasted some of that on *stuff*' than 'Drat, we're in the red because we wasted so much money on *stuff*!' ;)

Is it ok that I don't understand any of this?!

Glad you had a brill holiday Birdie, I love the sound of having giraffes wandering around outside your room. And also I reckon you can have one of these :money:for having money in the bank after a holiday!

I had such a good birthday weekend (4 days!) that I'm totally fine with being 31. OH was a superstar, taking me away to Bath for the weekend, then surprising me with a shiny shiny new iPad as well as flowers and endless cups of tea. I treated myself to a massage and a few G&Ts on the actual day (I am so very spoilt :o)

Thanks for all the FB birthday wishes :)

PS. I solemnly swear never to use my ipad to take photos when I'm on holiday...

Learn to knit, learn to knit!! Although, actually, that's probably even more expensive than most bought-cardies!

Love that cat one, I'm actually wearing a cat print blouse today :D DP have a lovely cat dressing gown in at the mo too which I might have to invest in for the hibernation season!!
