Dinah - Really glad to hear things are going well for you all with the DLA and NIMS's new job.
I know there is nothing anyone can say that can fully reassure you about Grace - even mums who have a baby without a health condition worry overtime! I suppose the only thing to think is that Grace's medical team don't seem sure she has this condition, and even if they are sure, it is so rare, there is no way of using what has happened to others with the condition as a guide of what might happen to Grace. In a few years, someone else in your situation might be reading an article about Grace and how well she has done which will give them hope.
Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers, take care of yourself.Mortgage December 2023: TBC

Shrimpy, I'm sorry that you're having to go through this. I'm thinking positive thoughts for you. :grouphug:
And you too for Grace, Dinah. :grouphug: MagicCat's post is great.

Thanks MagicCat, your post really helped me. I've been contacted today by a lady who runs an ACD charity, and happens to live 20 mins from me (quite impressive with less than 200 babies of this worldwide), she lost her first baby to this, and has just had a healthy second baby. She's suggested I contact an expert in the states, so I might do that, although I'm scared that maybe this won't give me reassurance, but more open a whole Pandora's box of worry, making me think about the possible as the inevitable every day.

!!!! shrimpy I'm so sorry, sending you lots of love and best wishes
Do you have a plan for treatment etc?
Glad you've made a car plan Dinah, sounds sensible. Sorry about the heating though, and please try not to worry too much about Grace. Easier said than done though I guess! She's done so well so far, I bet she just keeps on being awesome!
I was going to come on here and moan about loosing my mobile down a drain when I was worse for wear this weekend, but that's nothing really is it.

I've been worrying about Tete too, saw a Tweet this morning saying she was OK though, her flight has been cancelled but they're stocked up with food. I sent her a message on there so will hopefully hear back once she wakes up.
We had a nice weekend, went to a work party on Friday which turned out to be a free night as it was a free bar!Saturday went to York in the day and did Fountains by Floodlight in the evening which was nice but absolutely chock-full of photographers with tripods, not a good idea having a black tripod set up on a dark field where unsuspecting people (like me!) will come within inches of tripping over the bl00dy thing!
Went to see Skyfall yesterday which was really good, lovely to see Bond back on form!
Good stuff about work Cinny, you must be good if they're leaving you in charge; and more money is always welcome!
Hope the venture with your Dad works out Dinah, would be excellent if it happened!
CMD, did you get anywhere with the holiday apartment people? Saw your Hallowe'en costume on FB and loved it BTW! :T
Thanks Birdie. I loved it myself although I was a bit self concious as it seemed to be quite clingy! It was a joke really, because when we bought our flat in Scotland the first thing I bought for the spare room was a Twister duvet, so when I saw the outfit I had to have it!
The hoiday people basically emailed me some photos of the damage and said it would come to well over €1000. The photos were laughable really. So my friend (who came on the holiday) send them a stronger worded email about the photos etc etc. We never heard back from them and got no deposit back, so obvoiusly one big scam
Was in contact with Tete via FB. She seems quite happy. And she has alcohol. So all is good with the worldTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

They are hopefully that it has been caught at a very early stage but I have to go in for my scan results this afternoon. I wasn't really sure whether to share it on here or not but I feel as though I could use any extra positive thoughts today if you have any going spare. I'm sitting at work at the moment trying not to go out of my mind
