Morning everyone, and thank you so so much for all your kind words and thoughts yesterday. You have made me well up at my desk this morning! Your positive thoughts did the trick, the scan confirmed that the tumour is teeny tiny (about 1/3 of a matchstick) and the consultant is as confident as he can be that it will all be successfully removed in an operation and hopefully there will be no need for further treatment. I have to have a radical trachelectomy (don't google it if you're eating your breakfast!) and he wants to remove my nymph nodes from the area to ensure they are clear, but there is no indication that the cancer has spread to them at this stage. Best of all, this is a fertility-preserving treatment so theoretically, pregnancy is still a viable option for the future, although it comes with increased risk of miscarriage/premature birth and will obviously mean a c-section delivery.

Sorry if that was TMI but it has helped me to get my head around it by writing it down! Due to extensive googling (I know, I know...) I was aware that this was the best possible outcome (short of him saying, hey, our mistake, you're perfectly fine after all!) so we absolutely got the news we had been praying for. Thank you so much for all your support, it honestly meant a lot to me.

Dinah - I really don't know what to suggest about Grace. I am tempted to think you are right about opening the 'Pandora's box' to be honest, although I completely understand at the same time how you want all the information possible behind you. I would try to leave it if you can, you have enough to deal with looking after Grace now, try not to worry yourself with 'what ifs' on top. I hope that doesn't sound trite as I know it is easier said than done. Hope you get the heating sorted too x

Archers - rubbish about your phone! OH dropped his down the toilet (he assures me it was *ahem* before rather than after *ahem*) and it has been flickering in and out of usefulness since. I keep joking about going back to a Nokia 3210 but I'm not even sure its a joke anymore to be honest! Hope you had a good weekend regardless!

Oh gosh Shrimpy, I'm so happy for the outcome. As you say, better it had never happened at all, but if it had to happen this sounds like you could be putting it behind you quite quickly. Do you have a surgery date? I do know someone who had this surgery at 22, and we're going back 20 years here, but both her pregnancies were healthy term c-sections, so while it's obviously not going to be straight forward I think it's a bump in the road hopefully rather than defining your life plans.

Grace has fallen asleep in her feeding chair with blueberry EVERYWHERE, she's such a cutie.

    Awww any piccies of her?!

Great news Shrimpy! (well, YKWIM, in context it's great!) Hope the surgery does the trick beautifully and it's good to hear that you should still be able to have kids. :)

How bleeding annoying about not getting your deposit back CMD! At least from this I've learned that if I rent a holiday apartment I must take before and after photos to back me up!

Getting my new phone delivered today and annoyingly I've just had a text to say it'll be delivered at the time when there's no-one at home! Why does that always happen?! OH is in until 1.30 every day yet we never get deliveries before 2! Going to have to take a (very) late lunch to try to catch it. Wish companies would give the you the option of using Royal Mail instead of a carrier, if we miss a RM delivery we can just pop to the collection office the following morning rather than wait for yet another ridiculously timed delivery!

Thanks ladies, no surgery date yet Dinah but will be within 31 days, so all fixed for Christmas :) OH told me off because I was worried I would end up missing my (second) Harry Potter studio tour at the start of Dec, he was like, priorities woman! Everything so far has happened super quickly, I have nothing but praise for the hospital to be honest.

Annoying about the parcel Birdie! I know Royal Mail aren't perfect but I'd rather know I can go pick parcel up if I miss it rather than faff around getting it redelivered. (Although the lady at my sorting office is very rude and scary and looks like Rod Stewart)

CMD I meant to say, that is so rubbish about your deposit, to do that amount of damage it would have been one crazy holiday! Did you pay the deposit all yourself or was it between a few of you? (I'm sure you have said before, sorry if I've forgotten)

Am trying to put off the in-tray of doom as I know there are things festering in there that I have been putting off for far too long *sigh*

The hoiday people basically emailed me some photos of the damage and said it would come to well over €1000. The photos were laughable really. So my friend (who came on the holiday) send them a stronger worded email about the photos etc etc. We never heard back from them and got no deposit back, so obvoiusly one big scam

Is there an ombudsman or council or something you can report them to? If the photos are that laughable I'd consider small claims as it would be for them to prove the damage was done.

Delighted for you, best possible outcome for the diagnosis as you said so YEY :j:j:j:j

I spend a LOT of time trying to convince a certain woman not to consult doctor google, but she never listens either. He can sometimes be a help though so I wouldnt get too cut up abut it.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

CMD - that is awful about the deposit! Hope it hasn't ruined the holiday.

Birdie - annoying about the parcel!

Payday finally for me today! Can finally get organised for christmas. Hopefully getting the majority of presents with vouchers though. The double up on tesco vouchers starts thurs so hoping to order Poppys presents then.

I'm soo happy for you Shrimpy, was holding my breath reading your post! Hug-Emoticon-1-.gif Hoping with everything the surgery goes well, and that you're all better for Christmas :) Our Nannan (OH's Nan) is having to have radioactive treatment for a thyroid tumour around Christmas time, she's so upset it might mean she misses Christmas depending on when she gets the "potion" :( must be so horrible to have to spend Christmas alone at any time, let alone when you're going through treatment.

Having to be strong today - the giant Lotso teddy bears are only £20 at the Disney Shop and I really want one :o

I saw your signature with the Christmas vouchers, Wendz. Pretty jealous! I'll have to be more organized and find time to build up vouchers next year.

Ooh yes, you've done well with the vouchers Wendz! :T I'm impressed by how organised you are, not even started thinking about Christmas really! Hoping to pick up some pressies while we're away! :)

Hope you get to go to the HP Tour again Shrimpy! Funny how we focus on the little things at times of massive strain! :) Don't suppose you saw Strictly did you? Lisa Riley was in the potions lab! :)

Hope your Nannan gets to enjoy Christmas Cinny, must be awful being stuck in hospital over the holidays. :(

And get the Lotso! You need to start collecting toys for your little addition so really you're being sensible now by spreading the cost! ;) I love the Animator dolls and wish I had a little girl to buy them for. :o

You have other things to be excited about Birdie! I am planning on making my christmas cake this week.

Sorry to hear about your OH's Nan Cinny. Hope she doesn't miss christmas!
