We pay 900 a month for our two bed flat so looks good to me poolie!
Glad you got the inheritance money Dinah, hopefully you can sort all the money stuff out now.
Well done on paying off the overdraft Archers.
Have had a nice couple of days seeing family. Got paid today and also for my 40 quid from Onepoll and 25 from another suvey site and 25 from doing a product test so a good money day. Feeling better about the savings again now.
The bad news is that OH had a small prang in the car yesterday, person in front went to go and didnt so OH drove into their car. Was really minor and no damage at all to our car. Strangely enough the owner lived round corner from OH's sister and we went past and saw the car and no scratches but bumper has come out slightly. Will see if they claim anyway but we have let insurance company know.0 -

Hope the inheritance came through D, your mum must have done a good job being the executor I've heard it's really hard/tough! Did you decide if you're buying the real fire or what you're spending it on?

Sounds like tonsillitis to me, as I was suffering the same way (twice!)0 -
Urgh, my poorly feeling from yesterday has developed into a full-blown cold
Luckily we've got no plans for the weekend so I can get under my slanket and wallow!
I've not had any issues with the flooding Tink but a couple of places near me have been flooded, we've got a lot of rivers around us and everyone from work who has to go over a bridge to get home has had to take long diversions all week! My parents got very excited the other day as the bridge that they can see from their window (about half a mile away) has been closed as the water got right up to the field next to their house. It's like snow days though, at first everyone gets a little bit caught up in the novelty of the rivers bursting (apart from the poor people who's houses get ruined of course), but after 2 days you're just sick of the inconvenience and wish things would go back to normal!
Great news about paying off the OD Archers! Hope it's the last time ever! :T
Glad you're feeling happier about money now WendzNice to hear you've had good time with the family too!

I'm with you on the sofa with a blanket Birdie. My tickly throat and earache is today a full on cold complete with sickness and tight chest (and I couldn't find my inhaler so took NIMs, which I've been taken off because it gives me the shakes, so now I'm sat here hardly able to type), so Grace has been shipped off to my dad for the morning, and mum will be home from work this afternoon. I REALLY hope she gave it to me and this is the virus that was bothering her in hospital, rather than the other way around.
Sorry to hear about the car prang Wendz, did he give the other driver his phone number? If it's only a small thing I'd be really tempted to settle away from the insurers so the premiums don't go up and it's likely it won't be much more than your excess to repair anyway.
Tete and I are both near Stockton Tink, it's one of the places which have had houses evacuated. It's funny how in such a small location there can be so much variety though, the high street near me was under water, and driving in to the hospital on Tuesday was a bit mad, but other than that I haven't come across an impassable road, although the radio assures me there are plenty.
It's a no on the real fire, the doctors at the hospital looked at me like I was mad to even consider it with a baby with bad lungs. So we're just debating what to do with it. I initially was all for paying off the car loan as it'd give us £140 a month more, we can't overpay it so it has to be in one lump sum, we'd save nearly £300 in interest over the next 3 years etc. However NIM was initially suggesting paying it off the CC instead as the 0% on that runs out in 7 months, the CC shows on credit checks where the loan doesn't, we could hold £1000 of it back this way to pay the car insurance and MOT in November etc.... we've debated at length and I think now have sort of both ended up in a dithering middle ground where we can see benefits to both. If I'm honest I think it'll be the car loan we clear, it's earning interest NOW rather than pre-emptively stopping interest on the cc when we might have cleared it/get another 0% deal, we have quite a few big things on ebay which if they all go will more than pay the insurance and MOT with probably another £500 leftover to go off the debt, the idea of the cc going to 18.9% has to be a pretty good motivator to get debt clearing, with the cc we can make overpayments even of a few pennies - sticking the money into savings to clear the car loan will be a lot easier to take a bit out again if things are tight - the cc forces us to budget.
Is anyone on Slice The Pie still? I haven't done it for ages, but I got an email through about slicethepie/catwalk and basically it shows you an item of clothing and you have to write about 2-3 sentences as a review of it. You only get $0.20 per item you review, but it's easy to do a few in the background as you go through the day. Even if I only make $2 a day, it's an extra £140 or so by Christmas. If anyone wants a STP referral please pm me your email addy as I think you get a few $ for a referral.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well Poolie I'm afraid its gonna be a rain check on the pints till you pop up. Didnt get it, apparently the chemistry wasnt right, but more importantly I came across as having an axe to grind re my current employer, I do like but I thought I'd managed to hide it pretty well. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
