I think you were right not to call the guy out and rise above it, but it isn't right that you should be feeling intimidated at work Good news that your sis is home though, I haven't seen mine in weeks and I miss her! How long has she been away?

Also, which festival have you won tickets for, if you don't mind me being nosy?

Just had my first approved foods delivery arrive, man do I have a lot of food!! Waiting for OH to get in before I unpack it as I think he needs to appreciate it in its entirety!

I really want to do an order from them! But I'm bitter about them as they used to have a cash and carry near my old town I used to go too a lot, but now they're bigger they closed it down think I just resent paying postage! What did you get?

It was Cliffhanger Festival, got cancelled because of the rain but I'm still counting it my Sisters only been away for 2 weeks don't know how I managed for 3 months last summer!

I'll admit that out of the nearly 30 things I ordered from the gift site, 5 things are for me.. woops

Hope everyone is having a good time. Especially Dinah, NIM and Grace.

It's 11:45 pm and I am waiting for Thames Water to come out to my flat. Heard a strange bubbling noise earlier and discovered my bathroom was flooding. In fact all the water outlets were flooding. Turned water off but not before the bathroom was under an inch of water and it was floating out into the hall! Emergency plumber from the letting agents is away on holiday so his voicemail says. So Thames are coming out to look at the drains. Managed to bail out/mop up the water but it remains to see what the damage to the flooring might be in the morning. Could be waiting till half 2 before someone comes! Don't think I'll be going to work tomorrow at this rate!

I have a money question that I have no idea if anyone will know! I last worked out how much I'd need for Africa in May and it was around 1K, however due to the exchange rate changing that is now closer to £800 It would be a struggle for me to pay it now (in fact, would have to be next month) but I'm wondering is it worth it as £200 is a great saving. Does anyone know of any site (and it would need to be easy to understand as I'm not that good with these things!) that could perhaps tell me how much the exchange rate is likely to change by?

Went to see Legally Blonde the Musical last night, it was really good! And it starred the cutest dogs! And the guy who played the UPS man had the best legs I've ever seen on a man!

I'm trying really hard to stay away from that website you linked to Cinny! Far too tempting!

I don't think anyone can guess what exchange rates will do Beccie, when it comes to these things I think it's a case of having a price that you're happy with and you either take the leap and book now or hold out to save more money with the risk that it might jump up again. OH annoys me as once we've booked and paid for a holiday he'll keep checking the price to see what happens to it. I'd rather not know if the pice drops by £200 after I've booked!

If I'd already paid I defnitely wouldn't be checking as I wouldn't want to know! This is a bit more unusual as I've booked and paid my flights and I've made arrangements with the place for when I'll be turning up but I have between now and end of October to pay them. Guess I shouldn't worry too much as it'll be at least another paycheck before I can make a decision anyway.

So sorry to hear about the leak, Ruby Have they sorted it? That happened randomly in our Accountants home and he had to move in with his in laws for about 5 months while they fixed it :eek:

Go to swap my car today. Been having 1000 problems with Greg recently, and my Parents have decided they only need one car, so I'm swapping Greg for my Mum's fiesta (called "little car" ) then my Dad is selling Greg on ebay. Anything over £800 (little car cost them £500 last year, insurance is £300) I get to steal away :j Hoping for at least £500 so we can get our garden made safe for Ryder and have a little left to put into saving.

Car swap sounds good Cinny, poor little Greg though! Hope he goes to a nice owner! We get our car tomorrow and I think his name will be Grayson! I never got a good feeling for a name about my last 2 cars so it's a good sign for this one that it's already been named, means we've bonded already!

I like Grayson! I always think it's a shame when a car isn't named. OH refuses to let me name his car (I call him Casper in my head..) because when I finally convinced him to call his old one Reggie it died the next day Are you excited to pick him up?!

Not going to pick my Sister up after all the faff, Ryder's ill (explosive diarrhea, no less!) So I don't want him left on his own for 3+ hours. Poor babe Not that I baby him or anything..
