Thank you - I'm expecting it to slow down a bit now I'm onto Phase Two. Although if it wants to keep up at that rate I wouldn't argue
I have a weird question - you know those enamel type casserole pots? Are you not supposed to use them on the hob? We always have but maybe have just been lucky to get away with it. Re-heating butternut squash curry on Friday night - there was a worrying pop and the pot had cracked clean in half! Luckily managed to rescue the curry.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I have learnt the hard way that you're not supposed to use ceramic pots on the hob Beccie!
I had a lovely blue pot that cracked in half and made a right mess! I'm very careful about what I put on the hob now!
If you're allowed coconut milk on the Harcombe diet I've got a recipe for an amazing lamb and butternut squash curry if you'd like? Might make it this week, haven't had it for a while and I'm craving it!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Ooo, I am allowed coconut milk, would love the recipe please Birdie
Thanks for the answer on the pot - least I won't embarass myself now trying to return it to the shop saying it's not fit for purpose!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I think that's why they charge sooooooo much for the cast iron ones that can hardly be lifted - they're the only ones which go from hob to oven to table - most of them are only good for the oven.
Had a lovely weekend with Grace at home, she did spend Saturday screaming which was a bit mind breaking, but with a bit less stimulation yesterday she was quieter.
Many of you will have seen this pic on facebook, but had to share it here anyway as I LOVE it - she positioned herself into this chilled out position and then started grinning when mum sang to her.
Where is the new location Tete? Only you can decide if you're happy to commute, for me it'd come down to how much I like the job, if I wasn't bothered about it either way I'd start to look around for something else. To me it seems okay if you like the job, but I've been doing 50 mins each way for over 5 years so anything under an hour seems normal to me.
Hope you enjoy the new car Birdie, those shares have given you some lovely treats. Still can't believe you went to the scroungers 'party'.
What a fab loss Beccie, well done. No weigh in from me today, I can't even find the scales today - normal service will resume shortly.
Sorry your brother is being a prat Cinny, but at least you've reached a place you're more comfortable with, even if it isn't the outcome you hoped for. Hope the first day of OHs new job goes well.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Awww Grace is so cute in that picture! How are you finding things having her at home now?
Cinny - Hope your OH's first day goes well. I'm sure it will be better than mine was!
Tete - I commute over an hour and don't find it too bad. I guess you'll just have weigh up what is important to you. And as others have said, this may be the push for you to find something different to do!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
She is absolutely gorgeous Dinah! She probably has found it a bit strange not being in hospital but i am sure loving it at home now.
Birdie - yay for the new car, hope the insurance isn't too much more.
Cinny - hope your OH's first day goes ok.
Beccie - well done on the weight loss.
Not much news here. Me and Poppy got new shoes at the weekend and saw my mum which was nice.0 -
