    Lamb Curry:

    1 onion
1 small butternut squash peeled and cut into chunks
    Seeds from 8 cardamom pods
    3 cloves
    1 stick of cinnamon
    2 tsp coriander seeds
    2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp crushed hot dried chillies
2.5cm piece of fresh ginger peeled and grated/ lazy ginger
    2 cloves of garlic
250g-ish lamb (I use lamb neck fillets, £3 a pack in Sainsburys)
    1 tin coconut milk
    8 nuggets of frozen spinach

    Method:
    1. Over a medium heat brown the lamb then add onion. Once onion soft add butternut squash and fry fr about 5 minutes.
    2. Add all the spices and stir around for a minute.
    3. Add the coconut milk and frozen spinach. If using fresh spinach add at the end.
    4. Stir, cover and simmer until squash is cooked.
    5. Eat! :)

LARAAA!! Where the heck have you been?

I love that picture of Grace, have to agree with Kittikins, she really is getting cuter by the day :) Glad she's settled well at home.

That curry sounds gorgeous, Birdie! Think I'll have to steal it too :D

Thanks everyone, OH's first day when really well! He's already buddied up with the boss to go watch football one day, and more than half the office watch WWE so he's very happy! :D

Thanks for the words on my Brother too :) Tried to talk normally to him this morning and he wasn't very interested, but the other guy who works here was in the office and he started talking to me like I was an idiot. Shooting my Brother these weird looks, and you know that vibe you get when you know people have been talking about you? I got nothing but that off them, maybe I'm just being paranoid but it was a horrible atmosphere and quite intimidating. So now I'm just sat here all teary and want to go home :( I get my Brother's labelled me as a biatch for finally speaking my mind and while I don't care what he thinks anymore, I don't want other peoples opinions of me to be tainted by his badmouthing. I know I haven't done anything wrong.

On the bright side, my Sister's home tomorrow :j:j Starting work at 7am, which means a 5:30 wake up call so I can get Ryder walked before hand, but it means I can go pick her up :D

Sad I can't see the picture of Grace, silly work internet. Will have a look at home tonight. Glad the screaming has lessened too :)

Thanks for the recipe Birdie - will defnitely try that at some point soon. We had coconut and lemongrass turkey curry last night which was nice enough but don't think we'll bother again. I'm most excited by the crustless-quiche we're having for lunch since starting Phase Two. I know it's incredibly sad that a piece of quiche is exciting but it is absolutely lovely and it's quite novel to be on a diet and actually be looking forward to my lunch :)

Cinny - that guy sounds like a pratt. He's not worth upsetting yourself over. Have you called him on it?

Shoot the elephant in the room Cinny. Call the other guy out and tell him EXACTLY why you are being labled a biatch. Perspective can have an interesting effect on these things and if the guy suddenly realises "Ohhh right its cause his missus is completely batcrap insane" Suddenly its outside of you and him and he cant make you feel crap.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Not at all! :D When I was dieting last Summer I looked forward to each meal SO much because I was having to be creative with what I was or wasn't allowing myself that day, and with calories. Sounds pretty delish!

I didn't call him on it, I was speechless as it was quite intimidating like I said, and he's normally really nice to me. He's been out of the office since, so I've wrapped my head around it and I'm going to let it go. He's known me since I was very young, and if he's willing to have his opinion of me swayed by some bitter words then he's not worth getting upset over.

What's it like having your little girl home, NIM? :D

Found this website, thought it might be useful to people trying to be a bit frugal with presents this year. Or ones planning on making hampers/stockings :) I know it's only July, but still!
