Aww that sucks about the venue Shrimpy. We might have to re-think the whole Prague thing tbh. OH is now insisting he want's his grandma there and we're not too sure whether she'll be able to fly or get the train. Been looking at a few venues but they are so expensive compared to what we could get out there. Not going to be a bridezilla about it, just going to wait and see what happens.

Morning,
Oopys to getting drunk Ruby! Hope you had a nice time anyway. Shame about the food but guess it must be tricky with your allergy.
Cinny - glad Ryders weight is good, seems massive to me compared to a baby haha.
Shrimpy - sorry to hear about the venue. I think if you find a nice village hall you could do things much cheaper. I was looking for something like that but just couldn't find anything suitable. Looking at caterers etc though looks like it works out a lot cheaper and you won't have to pay corkage etc.
Brighton was lovely and sunny and would have been a nice day except i came down with a bug and spent the day throwing up...lovely. Thankfully my sister occupied Poppy as i had no energy. My poor sister had the same thing last night. I am much better now but annoyed it ruined a nice day out.0 -
Wow sounds like everyone's having a ball with so many new cars and whatnot! and exciting weekends! I've turned into a bit of an anorak to be honest I've got so much work to do so I kind of like it being miserable weather because it means I'm not tempted to sack it off and go to the pub and also it means I'm not missing out! (I know that is the wrong attitude!)I've filled my basket on that site twice now
Although I've closed the window twice as well
If I'd already paid I defnitely wouldn't be checking as I wouldn't want to know! This is a bit more unusual as I've booked and paid my flights and I've made arrangements with the place for when I'll be turning up but I have between now and end of October to pay them. Guess I shouldn't worry too much as it'll be at least another paycheck before I can make a decision anyway.
Beccie I think the only thing I would reccomend is to track the previous rates/trends on a site like oanda.com or something... if you look at historical rates you might get a good idea? What country is it you're going to again? Is it for spending money or the cost of something while you're there?
Hope that no news is good news with Dinah NIM And Grace

Thanks Tink, will have a look.
It's South Africa so it's Rand that I'm looking at. Plans may all be changing soon anyway! I was originally heading to Alldays to a reserve there but I have now heard rumours that the rehabbed lions have been hunted for trophy.
I'm making some enquiries but if the rumours turn out to be true then I will be going to Thabazimbi instead.
Still SA though so I'll still need Rand, guess that was a lot of waffling for no reason
How is everyone else? Very quiet at the mo!

Humans are penisbreaths
Poor lions! Hope your new plans work out though!
Glad you're feeling better Wendz, shame it ruined the day out for you but at least your Sister was lovely enough to take Poppy off your hands so you could rest properly
I think that's a nice attitude to have towards the weather, Tink! I'm actually enjoying the weather, it's nice on the odd day's when it's sunny but Summer really isn't my favourite time of year. I prefer it cold.
But yep, Ryder's set to be a big guy!! Can't wait until my Sister's boyfriend comes over in October, he was here when I got Ryder at a tiddly 2.86kg and if he keeps on track he'll be 36kg+ when he next sees him. So a massive difference! Not so much looking forward to December when my Parents go to Dublin. Ryder will be around 45kg, and my Dad's pup (renamed Nigel!) around 35kg. And I'm puppy sitting! It's not like I'm weak but that's a LOT of dog to keep under control! It's not even like I can let them off lead.0 -
Wow, that is a lot of dog to handle Cinny! Best get working on your biceps!

I'm kind of used to this rubbish weather now but my issue is that when we do get a nice day there's so much pressure to go out and 'enjoy' it! I prefer it to be sunny all the time so I know that if I want to stay inside one day it'll still be nice the day after!
Safari sounds great Beccie (but not the poor hunted lions, hope that's just a dodgy rumour!
) I'd love to go on safari, it's on the giant list of things to do! Will have to settle for a fake Disney-fied safari!
Not a lot to report from my end, work's boring me this week. I was supposed to be going to see Magic Mike tonight but my friends have moved it to next week, was supposed to be going out for dinner with a couple of girls from work tomorrow but that's been cancelled so I've gone from having 2 nice nights to look forward to to none! At least it's good moneywise as I don't get paid 'till Friday and I wasn't really sure how I was going to pay for everything!
I'm impressed with a freebie I ordered last night, I've been putting my Disney Blu-Ray/DVD codes onto the Disney Movie Rewards site as I get them and finally got enough points for a decent gift so I've ordered the Bolt 3D Blu-Ray! That's £20 worth!
If anyone has a stash of new Disney films get the codes and use them!

That is a lot of dog Cinny! Sounds good though, love big dogs

Not going on safari unfortunately - despite the amount of time I have spent in Africa I still haven't been on a safari, should do really
I'll be working on a reserve with rescued/rehabbed animals, very similar to what I have done before
Still very jealous of your Disney holiday! No way OH would go with me. He won't go to Africa either so I go on my own but think going round Disney places on my own would be a bit
Is everyone else finding that July is shaping up to be a really boring month? No-one has any money (me included!) so no-one is going anywhere or doing anything and when they do they're all depressed about the weather. Highlight of my week will be going to see my friend's cat that she has just fostered :rotfl:Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
July is a boring month here too beccie. I've had a week of looking after a poorly DD but I think she's a bit better today. Still keeping her off school though.
I went back to work Monday. Shift wasn't too bad but the guilt of leaving my babies was
back in this afternoon and really not looking forward to it.
I'm so jealous of both beccies trip to Africa and birdies Disney holiday. We hope to do eurodisney next year when we've got a bit more money and DS is a bit older.
When are you both going?

July has almost totally passed me by to be honest, its such a cliche to say the years go past quicker and quicker but its true! I feel like the March heatwave was our summer, my mind is looking forward to Christmas now! (sorry to mention the C word so early) I love summer and Autumn/Christmas but am not too fussed on the rest.
Work is also boring me today, I have soooo many emails piled up, I don't quite know where to start with them. Plus I have an end of probation review meeting this afternoon, I think it will go fine but I really don't like the job so part of me hopes it goes badly
80kg is a lot of Dog Cinny! Looking like the weather may improve into next week...mainly down south though sorry to you northerners. I don't have much on either and OH is is full on olympic work shift pattern so isn't very exciting. Does save money though and could do with that at the moment.
I don't mind the c word getting mentioned, I am starting to get excited already lol.0
