Good morning! Feeling good today as starting to feel the effects of the diet/exercise - nothing spectacular, just don't feel as though I'm busting out of my clothes quite as much today. Join us Beccie, v motivational to do it together! (also thanks for the compliment!)

Poor Poppy - hope she feels better soon!!

Hope all is well D&N x

EDIT - crossed posts. Sorry to hear that about your Grandad - hope you're OK, thinking of you x

Ok - here goes, eep! Starting weight is 154lbs :o Do we need to do measurments too? I'll have to do those tonight if so.

Will dust off the Shred DVD tonight. Might help to counteract going out for a meal for my brother's birthday afterwards.

Sorry to hear about your Grandad Dinah x

Oooh Tete, your blog looks great, I love the felt picture!

I would love to join you in the 30 day shread but unfortunately our dvd player has just packed up - talk about a blessing in disguise! The diet is not going well either, I seem to be surrounded by biscuits! Definitely need to start exercising as I just love to eat and would rather work it off than give it up - I think.

Hello and welcome Beccie - good luck!

I bought my dad's pressie ages ago as I spotted it on sale (golf day out vouchers) but need to get a card and something to go with it still and I'm rapidly running out of week...

Sorry to hear about your grandad Dinah x

Yay fellow shredders! Um Shrimpy, most laptops will play DVDs... :D I've taken my measurements Beccie but won't be sharing them (also took photos and definitely won't be sharing THOSE!)

Just been reading the Kurt Geiger deal and had a look but nothing I want. Unfortunately it led me to the Office Sale and I now have £80 worth of shoes in my basket :o

I'm the same Shrimpy - I like food too so want to up my exercise. I will be cutting down portion sizes though - living with my 6ft 6 rugby player OH who can eat what he likes does not help. I've gained 2 stone in the 3.5 years we've been together

I can understand not sharing the photos Tete, but that's a good idea though, I may do some in the bikini I'm intending to take with me as a bit of motivation :)

A quick check in to let you all know GIL has woken up briefly after the operation before going back to sleep so looks like all is ok.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Ha ha Shrimpy, rumbled! Glad the engagement is official :D happy wedding planning!

Have you made many more plans, Wendz? You've got ages! But it will probably start feeling much more real when you hit the 'year-to-go' mark. Eee, exciting!

It's so unfair, isn't it? I'm in the exercise more (but carry on eating) camp too :D I'll do some shredding with y'all! I completely agree with Jillian's "if you're gonna exercise, you might as well exercise hard" mentality.

I had some personal training sessions earlier this year which were great. But one of the good things about it was the 'homework' which I'm still doing. You start with 5 x squats, 5 x press ups, 5 x crunches (or 10. or 2!) and do them EVERY morning as soon as you roll out of bed, adding one each day. It's really motivating as you can really notice your progress! and it's a good metabolism boost too. You can level out at 25 or 30 or add some different exercises (i do tricep dips too) along the way.

My OH is amazed that I can do 30 PROPER press ups. I'm pretty darn amazed too! I used to struggle to do 5. On my knees. I'm nowhere near great shape, but I'm v. proud of myself!

    Oops, sorry, got carried away!

Tete, LOVE the new blog, looks ace :T
