Yeah I thought that was a good enough reason ;) Also it means that I can get rid of the books that are cluttering up the shelves and OH will like that as he hates clutter :) See I'm doing it for him 100%! :)

    Hello all!

Heck Dinah and NIM, what an emotional rollercoaster. Good news about the non-tumour although it is very bizarre. Must be so interesting to see your insides! Hope things are going OK with Grace in Newc, she did look very comical in that massive bed on FB. Hope you're granddad's doing OK and hope he gets chance to meet Grace - I think even if the grandparent doesn't get much out if it, it's nice to be able to tell Grace and Poppy when they're older that they did meet them.

Birdie hope the funeral is OK tomorrow - did you manage to find something to wear? I have a black dress reserved for funerals (is that a bit morbid? I seem to go to a lot of them :() - it's a lovely Coast one I got in a charity shop but after I wore it to Mam's funeral I felt wrong wearing it as a normal dress :o

Also good luck with the showing the parent how to work their tablet thingy - I HATE doing anything like that with Dad/Gran because I'm not that great myself and they always do something with them to make them not work somehow. I'm fine with any gadgets on my own. I get The Rage with anyone else.

Speaking of parents, did everyone realise it's father's day on Sunday?! I'd forgotten, now having a Big Think of something to get, will probably be something gardeny :o

Blog renovations pretty much done now Poddle, have a look! There are a couple of other tweaks I want to make but they can wait. I'm quite pleased with my new header :D

How's everyone's diet going? I'm on Day 3 of The Shred (impressed I've kept it up this long) and this morning did it without flagging during the final bit (well, I flagged but I didn't stop). Feeling pretty stiff all over so taking it as a good sign. Also have a trail race (ie on grass and up and down hills) tonight, the Race for Life on Friday then running Saturday and another race on Monday so hopefully I'll see some improvement by the end of week 2!

    (Sorry- waffle, waffle, waffle...)

Yes, I found a dress Tete, was a mad rush last night though :) Got a nice silvery grey dress and a little black jacket from H&M, both can be worn again as not too funeral-y.

I'm with you getting The Rage with old people and gadgets. It's so frustrating! My Mum isn't too bad, although I have had to write her a step-by-step guide to watching films through her xbox because she kept ringing me saying 'Which colour button do I press now?!' :wall:She also kept putting Blu-Rays in the DVD player and wondering why they weren't playing. At least she tries though, my Dad is so befuddled by everything he can just about turn on the TV. No idea what he thinks he's going to do with a tablet!

Too busy this week to think about exercise but I really need to start Shredding again, maybe on Monday! :)

DO IT! Don't leave me on my own being bullied by her! :D

Someone persuaded my grandma she wanted a Kindle so she bought one, then got a shock that you have to buy the books to go on it. She doesn't have internet so I've had to order a load of books for her through my amzn (so now I'm getting emails recommending all sorts of Catherine Cookson) - I'm just pleased there's no wifi connection to her flat otherwise I suspect she'd be ordering allsorts not realising it's charge me! (It's good though because anything I order for her I can then access on my phone - not mad on CC but might give some of the Stephen Kings a read :D)

Glad you got sorted with your clothes, I love grey. I'm feeling the urge to make stuff again after doing some bunting for the jubilee. Would we call it Stitchy Fingers (as opposed to Itchy Feet?! No?)?

My Mum's terrible for ordering books for her Kindle! I do keep reminding her that they cost money! I'm glad I changed the card details after initially setting it up with mine so I could preload it before handing it over at Christmas or I'd be wondering where all my money was going! ;)

I like the idea of you having Stitchy Fingers! Any ideas what you'll make first? :)

Yeah I've got some old bedding/curtain fabric with yellow roses on which I've wanted to make into a dress like this for a while, hoping to do it for a Christening on 22nd July :)

I bought my dad some beer and chocolate last weekend as won't see him this weekend. Need to get him a card though and need to get OH something from Poppy. She has made him a cute card at nursery with her hand prints on.

I have been working through our amazon voucher fund buying books, i try and just pick the 99p or less ones as i seem to read about two a week.

Poppy got sent home from nursery today poorly and OH took her to doctors and she has hand , foot and mouth. CMD - i think i remember Max having this? Anyway she doesn't seem too bad but got to take tomorrow off work to look after her.

Hi everyone, I've been lurking on Dinah's threads for a while now and seen that you always seem to do so well on these weightloss challenges - would you mind if I joined in? I'm so sick of being fat and would like to get some shifted before Africa in November :)

Tete - I absolutely love your blog! You've made some fantastic stuff :)

Dinah and NIM - hope all is going well in Newcastle x

Ofc you can join in beccie, give me your starting numbers and I'll add you.

Planning to start 30ds when back from Newcastle...which should have been today but apparently there are no beds free for her now, what the heck has happened to fill 5 beds with preemies in 2 days?!

Feeling very trapped here, grandad is currently in surgery and they don't expect him to wake up, I want to be there for mum. I can't believe they gave Grace's bed away!
