Wow that's a heck of a lot of competitions Cinny! Hope you win something! :D Will be nice if you can bring little John the Pup home today too! :)

We're going on the 4th November for 2 weeks! :j Ages to wait but it was soooo much cheaper to go at the beginning of November than September/ October for some reason. Weather's still good, not too hot and it's one of the driest months, the Epcot Food and Wine festival will still be on and in the 2nd week we're there they start the Christmas season (shhh don't tell OH that I plan on dragging him to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, it snows and you get cocoa and cookies! :D), and it's before the mad Thanksgiving period. All in all, a great time to go (I hope!) :D OH is trying to talk me into doing the Disney Half Marathon, which is a 13 mile run (waddle?!) through all the parks ending in a big party at Epcot, which sounds amazing but I'm a little scared! :o

Excellent news about your OH Cinny! :j I hope he takes great pleasure out of handing his notice in and refusing to do any more overtime! :)

Hope you and Poppy are feeling better now Wendz :)

We booked our holiday on Saturday! :j OH was checking out the package deals and found our 'dream' hotel at a great price (£200 cheaper pp than usual for some reason and about £1000 cheaper than other companies!) so we marched down to the travel agent and got it booked before they could put the price up again! So freakin' excited, no idea how we're going to wait until November! We're staying here, trust Disney to create an African savannah in the middle of Orlando! :D

    That hotel looks class Birdie!

Cinny - great news about your OH. Hope you get John today :)

We had a lovely Fathers Day yesterday. We brought OH, my Dad and my BIL out for dinner and my 2 babies and my little niece was there too. They were all very well behaved :)

Oh my god Birdie that hotel look amazing, can I come? You should totally do the run too - if I can imagine you doing any half-marathon it's the Disney one! If you start training now you'll be fine!

My RFL went OK, thanks for asking - it tanked down all afternoon so it was muddy as anything running through the woods , I felt sorry for the people who were doing the Saturday morning one as we'd all churned it up and then it rained again overnight. I've been up since 3.30am to go and do a Dawn Run with the Olympic Torch - the council organised a free 5k run for 300 people at 5.45, finishing at the river so we could welcome the torch as it came over the bridge. It was a really good atmosphere and I'm glad I did it but I'm tired now (at work)!

Also, weighed in yesterday as knew I wouldn't have chance this morning and I've lost 3.5 pounds! Yay! Definitely feeling the difference after 5 days of the Shred. Off to buy some hand weights today as the cans of soup I've been using are a bit too light I think!

Lovely to hear from you CMD, you sound happy :)

Hope NIM had a lovely first Father's Day yesterday and Grace kept herself out of trouble for you!

Glad the sewing went well Bec, cushion cover should be no problem if you can do straight lines! :D

Brilliant news about OH's job Cinny, hope he can relax a bit now. And lovely about John, you'll have to take pics if you get him!

Fathers day was awesome, although hearing "Happy Fathers Day" from my dad was WIERD.

Grace is a resourceful little one, managed to get me presents (2 CD's, an awesome poster [pics to follow] and the Hairy Bikers book of pies) and 2 cards, one of which she wrote "Daddy" on herself while still in hospital.

Meanwhile D brought me the worlds largest brakfast n bed. It was a good day.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Aww sounds like Gracie's already a good gift giver! ;)

I can imagine it is weird having your own Dad say Happy Father's Day to you! :) It was MIL's birthday yesterday so we had a joint birthday/Father's Day dinner with the in-laws yesterday which already annoys FIL as he doesn't like having to share 'his' day with anyone (he shares his birthday with BIL too!) so he'll be even more upset when OH is a Dad too and there's yet another person to share the day with him! ;)

Tete, I had to run to an appointment on Friday and I was dying after about a minute... no idea how I'll ever manage a 13 mile jog! Glad you enjoyed your dawn run this morning... but you are a crazy lady for getting up that early! Well done on the loss, I'll be weighing tomorrow morning... and not expecting anything off! :o

Happy 0th Birthday Grace! Today is her due date, so I made the staff a rainbow cake - politely but loudly screaming she's 40 weeks and wants to go home now.

Anyone else reporting their week 1 weigh in? I'm chuffed to say I've lost 1.0lb. I did weigh yesterday and I'd lost 2.2lbs... but I'm going to use todays weight as I said every Monday, and if I did really loose more I'll just have an even better weigh in next week. To be honest I'm pleased even with 1lb given I had so little control over what I ate for 5 days when we were in Newcastle. I'd like to do better this week now I'm back home.

No 30 Day Shread today, but I did find my weights, yoga mat, and sewing machine. Sewing machine not needed for 30 Day Shread, however I want to make all the staff who have cared for Grace a little something just to say thank you when she leaves, and I figure a little sewn bit will be quickest. I was thinking just a little heart on a ribbon as a christmas decoration, but if anyone has seen or made anything really quick and easy that would work as a gift I'd love any suggestions.

Will start Shred tomorrow if I have enough space in any part of my house to do it.

Fathers Day print NIM liked so much. He's decided it's going to go in Grace's room.

Spent today completely emptying the attic. Almost the entire house is now in chaos, only our bedroom and the kitchen are sorted. Our attic is a bit unusual in that it's in the eaves of the house, so you just walk into it off the landing, but can't stand upright in it like a real room. However now it's empty you can see just how big it is, and I'm very excited to get it properly organised, rather than just shove all the boxes back in in no particular order - we can't use anything if we don't know where it is.

Your new blog looks great Tete, I was so excited to log on and see Grace's blanket. I really do love it. She wrote you a thank you card while we were in the Freeman....I have no blinking clue where they went when we got back, I've lost about 25 written cards. ARGH.

Grace seems to be doing well, she's down to 2.5litres of pressure on her oxygen, she was at 5litres on Saturday. They hope she'll be at 2litres sometime over night. Once she's down to 1litre, that's low flow, so she'll come off the machine and just have the nasal prongs, which is what she'll be going home on. We can really start to plan coming home once she's on low flow - so exciting.

She also got to meet her great grandad yesterday. She was moved into a side room which they had emptied out of all the equipment, and they wheeled grandad down on a bed and she grabbed onto his finger and he watched her have a feed. He was having a very lucid day which was great. I couldn't wish for Grace to have nicer people taking care of her, they didn't have to do this for us as they are really really busy at the moment, but they still pulled together and made it happen.

Glad the shares matured Birdie, that's a brilliant chunk of change. Must be a real relief to be able to afford to get things sorted that have been niggling once and for all. The holiday looks fab too. I'm really craving a holiday when this whole preemie baby/hospital/tumour/surery/grandad palava is behind us, but we won't be able to go anywhere due to Grace needing the oxygen.

Exciting news on the wedding progress Wendz.

Well done to your boyfriend on the job Archers.

And another big well done to your OH Cinny, is he doing the same thing in the new job or is it a completely new challenge?

Happy 0th Birthday, Grace!! :bdaycake: I'm so happy she got to meet your Grandad :) She seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds too, you must be so excited to get her home.

It's kind of different, kind of the same. I can't really figure it out to be honest but it will be part telesales, part building up cilents and traveling around the UK which is exciting! He went to hand his notice in today, ended up handing his keys in so as of Friday he's unemployed! So he'll be staying under my feet until July 9th. Can't complain, kind of like having him about :o

I convinced NIM to undertake my attic masterplan. As with almost all my masterplans it involves a staggering amount of mdf. The idea being he will shelve out 3 sides of the big end of the attic so instead of having boxes on boxes and hard to see anything, all the stuff will be on shelves, with neat labels to show what goes where. The small end of the attic will have a new socket run to it, my parents old telly stuck in there, and all NIMs consoles can be set up with a bean bag pointed at it - ergo I am amazing wifey type as I have created him a man cave (not usable in summer unless you're partial to melting).

Let us know your wins when you get them Cinny, although I think you'll be hard pushed to beat the mini. I tried to work out the probability of winning one once, and worked it out at about 1/4000 for the standard £50 type value ones, but some of the compers seem to win multiple prizes every month, so I don't know how they do it.
