Birdie - i thought of you yesterday as was on train home from work with some excitable americans who were on their way to see the Harry Potter set :D.

Hehe great minds! ;) We really need to do that tour. Very excited about going to Harry Potter World in Orlando again! I wonder if OH will let me buy a Gryffindor robe this time?! :p

So sorry you're suffering Wendz, that sounds awful :( The only thing that makes me feel better when I've got a sore mouth is brandy

Will check out the competition club thingy tonight Cinny! Can't enter comps at work because 90% of the sites are blocked... which is a good thing I suppose because I wouldn't do any work otherwise!

Happy official birthday Grace! That's so nice that she was able to meet your grandad - the hospital staff sound like they're being great :)

Super exciting for booking your hols, Birdie - looks amazing!

Tete, well done on all the running! (especially at very unnatural times of day...)

I'm not going to report a weight loss this week :o it was all going so well before the weekend, so hopefully I'll be on track for next weigh in!

Hope you feel better soon, Wendz, sounds horrid! But glad that Poppy didn't suffer too much.

Good luck with all the comping, girls!

She also got to meet her great grandad yesterday. She was moved into a side room which they had emptied out of all the equipment, and they wheeled grandad down on a bed and she grabbed onto his finger and he watched her have a feed. He was having a very lucid day which was great. I couldn't wish for Grace to have nicer people taking care of her, they didn't have to do this for us as they are really really busy at the moment, but they still pulled together and made it happen.

Ah this brought a tear to mine eye! SO glad they got to meet, and while he was having a good day too, lovely.

Don't know if you saw my update the other day but I lost 3.5lbs last week! :D I think a lot of it was bloat though rather than actual fat, but still - phew! Well done D and B on your losses and Bec, at least you haven't gained - all is good! Bought some weights yesterday for the Shred but think I went a bit too heavy as I can't do more than a couple of reps :o

Not sure about small sewn gifts Dinah, have you tried Pinterest? I always do lavender cats but pretty much everyone I know has had those now. Bunting is pretty easy but will take up a lot more fabric if you're looking to keep it cheap.

I'm going to the HP set in August!! :D SO excited, am crocheting Gryffindor scarves for us all to wear :T

Re comps - I've read blog posts on them by real compers, you really have to treat it like a part time job - it takes a lot of organisation and dedication I think. Glad you've created a new FB account Cinny as I was about to hide you from my news feed :p

Wnedz that sounds awful! Get well soon! (Swish some alcohol around your mouth maybe? Purely for its antiseptic properties!)

Awesome! Do you fancy making a spare one for me?! Reminds me of going to see the first movie on opening night with my friends all dressed as witches, I even had a white owl! I saw a tutorial on Pinterest for making fancy wands, wish I'd seen that before buying ours! :p

Well done on the weightloss too, very impressive! I need to do the Shred but I can't find it, will have to download it again. :o

ETA: Re my holiday, had a panic last night as OH mentioned that his brother (the idiot one no less) and his GF had been looking at it because they thought it sounded great and might want to come along... thank goodness they got scared off by the price! Phew!

Happy belated 0th Birthday Grace! :bdaycake:

The hospital staff are so good for sorting out so she could see her great-grandad. And I'm loving the man cave idea, OH would love one but for now I have to contend with his cricket and game stuff behind the living room door.

I'm so jealous that you're going back to Orlando Birdie. OH was saying about going there for our honeymoon...we're both big kids at heart so it might be perfect!

Glad to hear about OH's job Cinny. Hopefully he'll be more relaxed and able to enjoy this new job more.

Hope you're feeling better soon Wendz, this hand, foot and mouth thing doesn't sound very nice. Glad Poppy is getting better though.

I'm at work doing not very much. I've been left on my own in the office for a couple of days and told to do whatever I wanted...Not coming in would be nice! :rotfl:

Haha, sorry! When I told OH I was making a new account so people didn't hide me off their feeds he said 'Oh, I'm sure they did that ages ago!' Cheeky get! Well done on your weightloss though :j

Yikes, sounds like a close call with your Brother and SIL Birdie! My Sister wanted her and Rus to come to Turkey with us next year but I had to tell her, as much as I love her, 2 weeks constantly in her company would drive me batty!!

I'm obviously no expert but I don't think comping takes that much time. I've got a bit of a routine down now and spend about 2 hours entering comps, but I figure that's the time I'd normally spend on other hobbies so it doesn't seem too bad. Just a bit of fun really, not something you can depend on!

ETA: Oh, ohhh. Only a £1 thing but I've just won some Radox shower gel. Bring on the celebration cake!

:T:T:T:T You must be the only person in England willing to say something like that to someone else. EVERYONE seems to keep queit for fear of making things uncomfortable or being seen as improper. It drives me batty. :T:T:T:T:T
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Thanks everyone, might have to try this swigging alcohol as it is so painful! Doctors not till this afternoon and have a feeling they will say nothing they can do.

I should join in the weightloss challenge now, my lack of eating is making me lose weight!

Good news the BIL and gf decided against going with you, does not sound like it would be fun.
