Flower have a look here "free" pack of nappies (p&p 50p) plus £5 voucher. Haven't tried them myself yet but have sent off for them. Might be worth a look for you
Thank you for that! Have just sent for some, never tried them before but worth a go. A friend at the baby groups has also just given me two vouchers for £2.00 each for Pampers as she doesnt use them for her little girl.
Thank you everyone for the kind messagestrying to look on the bright side that we have a beautiful and happy little boy and things could always be a lot worse! But with this looming redundancy and loss of money its very hard to be positive all the time.

Flower - you poor thing with all the money/redundency worries. If I get any vouchers for pampers or anything i will let you know as i use the sainsburys nappies but sometimes get vouchers for others. I know how expensive having a little one is.
Archers - wow sounds like the kindles are pretty hardy! Sounds like you are having a great time, look forward to hearing about it all.
CMD - that is great you are getting some time off to sort some thigns and bet your Auntie loves it. Think when we have another will be seriously considering moving home as would be nice to get some help with childcare.
Birdie - hope the day gets better, at least you won't be there tomorrow as you say!0 -
Super quick post cause I'm on my phone (will reply properly later!
) saw in co op that Huggies Super Dry are £3.25 a pack, either 32 or 28 packs, I think. Don't know if that's good or not!

I find the Lidl nappies the best value and best quality. They are really good. Have you thought about using cloth nappies? I did for a while with Max. Some councils offer cash incentives for them:

I got £30 off Reading council. I will see if OH still has them in Scotland and if he hasn't chucked them I can post them to you instead if you are interested.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I was going to suggest cloth nappies too. My mum used them with me, and all my friends are using them for their kids. Almost home time at work. I love the fact that we've immediately turned into the bargain nappy brigade for a threadie in need!
Packing hand luggage for 5 days is so hard! Goodbye lovely shoes and clothes, hello teeny tiny everything!Think I've managed it now, although I have to dig out a purse. Did think, 'Why bother? OH can just pay for everything' but that's not very women's lib is it?! Speak to you all on Wednesday!

Has to be done!
Have a great time, PM me any extra lovely stuff that happens - I'll probably end up missing it by the time I'm here to catch up! (I'm an impatient skimreader when I'm trying to catch up)
Was faffing around on our booking and it said we could add champagne and chocolates to our flight to 'start our holiday in style' now, I'm not fussed because I'm no where near posh enough to appreciate champagne in the slightest but clicked on it out of curiosity.. £25 each  +£10 for chocolate  No thank you! Looking to book excursions but just 2 days will half our spending money, plus we'll have to pay for entrance into places, as well as lunch and drinks. Just seems way OTT! Or it's coming to light how tight I really am..Keep telling myself it's going to be the last big holiday for a while so we should go all out, but we'll be completely skint when we get home if do :undecided

I got 20 cloth nappies for £20 on gumtree 2 weeks ago, and another 20 for £1 this week. They are both different but birth to potty. They are used but no stains. Also there are a few on mumsnet or netmums if interested.0

Have a fab time Birdie! What day do you go again Cinny? I wonder how many people do fall prey to that champagne and chocolates ruse? Would it be any cheaper to book the excursions when you get there? I don't know if that's true or not as I'm a bit lazy on holiday
and usually happy just pottering about.
Sorry to hear you're having a rough time Flower, if I spot any deals/vouchers I will let you know.
Hope Grace is well, has anyone seen anything on fbook?
I am hoping for a super quiet weekend this weekend so I can hopefully get some sewing done, and have a bit of a sort out. Long overdue! I have been given a few hours hours temporarily at the uni library so may be working one of the days.

Afternoon,
There has been a facebook update that poor Grace's lung has collapsed again and she is back on oxygen. Thinking of you all - Dinah, NIm and Grace. Hope things improve soon.
Have a great time away Birdie!
Cinny - maybe you could wait till you get there as you might find you can get them cheaper as Shrimpy said. Also you might be able to find out what the best ones to do are.
I have got two of my uni friends coming for the weekend so have spent today so far doing a mad clean as i never seem to get any housework done during the week when i'm at work. Had a whingy baby following me round which has been fun but thankfully she's been asleep the last couple of hours so have got some more done. Not sure what we are doing over the weekend but looks like it might actually be sunny tomorrow so may have to go somewhere outside.0
