Another fan of my kindle here too, i never thought i would like it. I read about 2 books a week on the train so have to get all the cheap ones on offer lol.

Cinny - the tortoise is called Herb, he is 12 but quite small bless him.

Ruby - glad you found a flat, fingers crossed for references.

Awww I love the name Herb for a tortoise! :)

That is so grim Cinny, I don't think I'd have been able to do that! I don't even like picking up dead flies! _pale_

I've been holding out for months waiting for the Kindle Fire (which is more iPad-like by all accounts) but I'm sick of waiting as they still haven't confirmed a release date, told OH last night that I just want to get the Kindle Touch now and we'll see what the Kindle Fire's like when it's released and get that too since he'll no doubt want an e-reader once I start going on about how much I love mine! ;)

I got an early birthday present today which is nice! :) OH bought me a dress for our holiday and I was talking about packing tonight so he gave it to me to pack, it was too big so we took it back to the shop to swap and I ended up buying myself another dress and a pair of flip flops! Not very MSE! :o

Thank you everyone. I am 99% sure i will be made redundant now so money situation is only going to get worse!
Feeling very fed up with it all, we are only just making minimum payments on the debts so they arent even really going down that much.

I must of spent a good 15 minutes stood in boots today comparing the prices of all the nappies trying to figure out which ones would be the best for the money.

Sorry to hear about the money situation Flower :(

    How is little Grace doing?

Exciting times about forthcoming holidays Cinny and Birdie!

Your wedding looked amazing Poddle and you were beautiful x

All grand here. Am off on a girlie night away this Sat. Can't wait :) My aunt minded Max and Evie on Sat while I was preparing a wine and tapas night for my Mam's birthday and she enjoyed it so much that she wants to mind them for a few hours every week so I can get admin stuff done for work. Happy days - it means I won't be stuck doing it while babies are in bed and they are being minded by someone that adores them!

Here is how awesome my kindle is, see the red text on this picture on the right? Well I was stood there, with my kindle as my guidebooks are on it, and dropped it. Probably the only person ever to drop a kindle off the top of machu picchu... it fell to where the temple of the 3 windows is marked in the middle. Like 100 meters. There is only the tiniest scratch on and it still works perfectly!Explain-Machu-Picchu.jpg

Only have less than a week left out here, going to be strange coming home but looking forward to it. Already jealous about hearing Cinnys and Birdies travel plans! But my itchy feet are definitely cured for now. Europe will do me fine for a couple of years now.

Sorry to hear about your money situation Flower :( Hope things improve x

Can't believe it's almost time for you to come back, Archer! You'll have to get us up to date with a monster post when you're all settled.

If there's anything I can do to help Flower, although I have no idea what that'd be! Let me know, it's not a nice feeling hearing of another ultimate-forumite having to pull the purse strings this tightly :grouphug:

Lovely that you have family around to take some of the load off you, CMD :)

It's all going on at work today, got a call from some BBC producers at the start of the week to go on a show (thankfully, not watchdog!) but filming happens while I'm away so I'll miss all the excitement! :( My Brother's super excited, not for the whole going on TV part, or even helping someone out, but because if he's there all day he'll get fed 3 hot meals :rotfl:

I hope you post your review of the amazing falling without breaking Kindle on Amazon Archers! That's impressive! Can't believe your time away is nearly over. Want to see all the photos when you're back! :)

How exciting about your place of work being filmed Cinny! What a shame you'll miss it, would have been really funny if I was watching TV and you [strike]photo[/strike] film bombed the picture! ;)

That's good news about your Aunt minding the little ones CMD, good for everyone all round! :) Now you need the word to get round about how great they are so you get loads of free childcare sorted with assorted relatives and friends! ;)

Nightmare day at work, just want it to be over (although have a feeling it'll be a late one :(), when will these highly paid 'Project Managers' get their heads out of their you-know-whats and realise that you can't do 2 weeks worth of work in 2 days?! Thank God I'm not here tomorrow for the inevitable fallout of what is bound to go wrong tonight as the result of making us rush things! :)

Big hugs for Flower, if I see any vouchers around for cheap nappies I'll let you know! :)
