Thinking of you all Dinah, NIM and Grace.
Hope you have a great time Birdie, I'm jealous!
Got my start date for my new job yesterday...it's in 3 weeks time! Cue lots of panicking! This time in 3 weeks I'll be in the throes of moving (that's if all the reference checks are ok!) This means I have 9 shifts left at work and that scares me! Have a weekend of packing ahead of me, hope you all have a great weekend!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Hoping and praying that Grace is getting stronger x0

Not seen any Gracie updates over the weekend so I'm just hoping no news is good news.
How did the packing go, Ruby? hope you had a good time with your friends Wendz(heh, I'm a poet!) And that you got your sewing done too Shrimpy!
Hope everyone else had a good weekend too and enjoyed the sunshine! I did a lot of gardening (which I hate, I'm no Sean Bean) but it looks like we care now, the lowest level of care but it still counts. Been steadily packing the kitchen up for the refit too, just need to lazily put all our plates etc on the bookshelf Tuesday and we're good to go
Less than 48 hours until the holiday!Excitement is slightly killed by work, and the thought of Ryder going away. I'm such a sap!

Morning all,
I traded sewing for gardening too Cinny, our garden was a huge overgrown jungle when we moved in last autumn, so we kind of just ignored it over winterand have been making very slow progress tackling the weeds and general overgrown-ness whenever the weather is decent (so not often). I did make myself a rockery though which pleased me, and *think* I found a mint plant growing.
Ruby, I love packing! My friends call me Monica, whenever anyone moves I turn up armed with lists, packing tape and marker pens! Hope it goes well and isn't too stressful. Do you have a break between jobs at all?
Hope you had a good weekend with your friends Wendz.

Oooh, a rockery sounds fancy! OH got garden fever this time last year, dug up a big patch of grass, edged and gravelled it. I have no idea what it's purpose in life is, we just have this gravelled bit.. OH calls it his 'BBQ area' but when we had BBQs last summer the pebbles made the BBQ wobble so he put it on the path..
Just had a happy thought. One day of work tomorrow and then I'm off until June 6th with the bank holidays :j Then I just have one day in before another 4 off. I'm going to be so bored0 -
Seen the Grace photo update this morning - looks like she is doing great.
Cinny - wow that is great you have so long off work! Glad the garden is looking nice now, would love a gardern but i am not the biggest gardening fan.
Shrimpy - might have to get you round next time we move.
Weekend was good with my friends. Didn't do much , went shopping sat and had take awaya nd watched britains got talent sat night. Got Poppy some more clothes with birthday vouchers and myself a top from primark. Found out my friend is pregnant too so thats exciting! Apparently it wasn't planned but think she is excited about it.0 -
Hey everyone, I'll read back and catch up properly soon, been a bit manic here.
Firstly congratulations to our new Mrs - I'm glad your wedding went well. Will have to try to hunt out your photos on fb as I'd love to see it.
Grace has been stable all weekend, they tried clamping her tube (basically if air builds up in her chest once that outlet is blocked then there is still a hole in her lungs, if no air builds up the hole is closed and they can take the tube out) but more air built up so they had to open it again. The good news is she's come down off the cpap machine (again being simplistic there are 5 levels of breathing assistance, where level 0 is no assistance at all and level 5 is a ventillator which does all the breathing for her - cpap is level 4) onto low flow oxygen (level 1) so that's a step forwards back towards where she was. Our little chunk has also put on a huge 130g in the last 3 days, so is now 1.68kg/3lbs 12oz.
Spent a while last night looking at the photos of the babies who were born in the unit and their going home photos - playing with statistics about 1/3 go home on oxygen, and I'd say around 3/4 go home between halfway through week 36 and the start of week 38. Grace is 35 weeks exactly today, so I'm going to hope she might come home in around 3 weeks. Just need to keep her lungs in one piece! Would be really great if she did come home in or before week 38 as it's the bank holiday so NIM can just take 3 days holiday and get the full week off, and then have his two weeks paternity, so be off with us for 3 whole weeks.
Grace's room is nearly done, I'll put some pics up when it's finished as I think it's going to look lovely.
ETA: Typed this this am, then forgot to press post! She's still lovely and wiggly this morning, hoping to try clamping the tube again at teatime.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

The rockery sounds far fancier than it is I assure you!
Wendz you reminded me, I found out a friend is pregnant over the weekend too but its still a secret so I'm not supposed to know yet. I'm seeing her on Sun so I hope she spills the beans so I don't have to contain my excitement!
I have next Monday off but that can't really compete with your holiday Cinny! I had a lovely dream I was on a warm sunny beach last night too, it was such a disappointment to wake up to these grey skies!
Good news on Grace, thanks for the update Wendz.
ETA cross posts, Grace sounds like she's doing really well Dinah, fingers crossed for teatime, and that she does get to come home in a few weeks.Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

Happy birthday Birdie.
Grace is being a medical mystery. Docs can't figure out why the drain wont go into the air bubble. Consultant tried last night and its still not in the right place. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
