We though about asking parents to come up with us but the hotel is £100 a night, in the middle of nowhere so no cheap alternatives nearby, we'd feel obliged to pay for them to travel, stay, eat etc and it would cost us an extra £300+! Anyway, that's a bridge to cross next year, just one of those things that pop into your head when you get to thinking about the what-ifs. I like to keep my crazy in that one little thread, not too keen about subjecting everyone here to it too :o

Diet is a bit meh. Seem to just be maintaining the initial weightloss and feeling frustrated about it! I've clearly lost our bet unless I lose a limb in the next week or so. I can't do a pull-up yet either but I can hold myself up for a while now! :)

Sorry, didn't mean to spread it. For the record I think you're being sensible, not crazy to plan ahead. I don't feel comfortable posting there anymore, everytime I have I felt like I was ignored despite chatting to them all for months and usually posting because I'm so chuffed someone got that BFP, because I'm a reminder that we were trying at the same time and are now in different places iykwim.

I don't think I'll ever do a pull up, best I can think of as a hold up is dangling like a monkey from the high bars at the playground in the park!

Speaking of, are there websites that tell you where to find playgrounds?! I used to be taken to loads in the town where I grew up, big ones, little ones, adventure ones, wooden fort ones, but I couldn't tell you a single one in the town where we now live.

Meeting a friend for lunch today (had to cancel on her on Monday as I couldn't walk to the train station with the stiff hip on the ice and snow) and in the last twenty minutes I've gone from feeling fine to being sick. Hoping it was a one off not a sign of a rough day ahead as I can NOT cancel on her again. No idea why as all I've eaten this morning is a bit of toast, some strawberries and grapes, and a banana milkshake... don't think anything there should have caused that kind of reaction?!

Just bought a Travelzoo deal for a night in a posh Edinburgh hotel with breakfast and a bottle of wine for £99, that's my forfeit for losing the bet sorted! Since it's a voucher it'll be OH's paper gift for our anniversary! :)

Hope the sick feeling was just a brief thing and you don't have to cancel on your friend :)

Very nearly managed to miss the train as my brain said 'leave at 12, that'll give you ten mins to get there and ten mins to wait for the train.... I completely forgot it actually takes 15mins to travel and it arrives at 12.19. Luckily some speedy walking got me there in time. Sickness seems to have passed thankfully, maybe she was just pressing on my tummy.

    Afternoon all,

Glad you managed to catch the train Dinah, enjoy your lunch.

My friend had her second baby last night but he isn't very well and is on oxygen in neonatal and she lost a lot of blood. I am sure he will be fine but is horrible, apparently shes really upset.

Got a bit of a cold but not too bad.think will have a lazy afternoon though.
  • You did better than me Dinah, I just made it onto a train and realised I'd forgotten my phone. And as I'm meant to be shopping then meeting a friend when she's finished work and I don't know where the restaurant is or what time she finishes I had to go home in the sleet to get it :( Just waiting for another train now! Have a nice time with your friend

Hope your friend is feeling better soon Wendz, that's scary stuff

Ooh Birdie I got that email from them today, looks nice!

I'm waiting for my Train Friend to let me know how much he can get tickets to Edinburgh for me now! Hope it's not too much, would be nice to take OH away next weekend for our anniversary :)

Hope your friend's baby is going to be OK Wendz. Did you see OBEM last night? That was pretty heart-stopping stuff!

Hope you're not too cold and wet Archers, what an annoying thing to happen!

Badminton again today... I seem to have the odd moment of brilliance pop up in the middle of an awful lot of 'What the heck was that?!' ;) Really enjoy it though! :)

Sorry about the horrid interview Shrimpy, hope they liked you though! Sometimes having time to overthink something is a really bad thing!
