How're you feeling today, Dinah? Hope you're starting to get more sleep!

She's seeing the consultant...as we speak actually. So she'll probably pop on round half 10 to say hi.

Went to see snow patrol last night. Not a huge fan of their music but they do put on a good show. D on the other hand really seemed to enjoy herself, which is good.

Yesterday I made a load of Valentine's Day cards, I'm hoping to sell them at work but now feel all shy about it now. I really like them and think they're all lovely, obviously, but nervous about asking people to part with their cash for them- what if they don't like them?! :o I also have no idea how to word my little marketing e-mail to send round... 'Hey guys! Buy my cards, they're cheaper than Moonpig and have bits of ribbon stuck on!' :)

That is exactly how you send round the email, go for the comedy one and you should get a lot of people coming to look.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

The man knows me well, I'm 4 mins early though which has never happened before!

Consultant went really well this morning, baby is measuring so well and my bp is staying where we're happy with it so provided I go to the weekly midwife checks and don't have a sustained rise I don't have to go back in 4 weeks, I can wait until 28 weeks :D He's also positive at this point about a normal birth rather than needing a c-section, but obviously that all depends on the bp staying put.

Snow Patrol were really good, don't think I've ever enjoyed a show as much. AND I get to cross something off my 101 things list.

Feeling nesty today (a little limited by being freezing and still not bending well) but going to try to take advantage of the urge a little.

Speaking of nests, have you any recent photos of the house progress? :) Have you started on the nursery? :)

Great news about everything bump related that the consultant said! :D

Glad you enjoyed Snow Patrol, must have been quite nice going to see them in the snow! ;)

Dinah and Tete, I'm a little late in saying it but sorry to hear about the health worries in both your families, I hope everything works out well. Great news on the BP though Dinah, and glad you enjoyed Snow Patrol. oh, and hope the buggy works out too!

I popped on before bed and saw Tete's post about Amazon so quickly traded in two games, only worth 30p each so not sure I'll qualify for the offer, was too keen to get snuggled up to read through it properly! They were super old games anyway (one belongs to OH, shhhh....)

I also listed some ebay stuff yesterday, changing jobs has left me with a 6 week pay gap and my temping before that wasn't very well paid, plus my phone died on Sat so had to shell out £55 for that which has wiped me out! Having some panicky feelings about money and the future, I know I've been lucky to find work since losing my job and haven't struggled to manage, but I really want some stability now. Am interviewing for a permanent position on Thurs (the role I'm covering currently on a temp basis) so am really hoping it goes well.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble, OH is being a bit of a pest regarding money plans but that is another story!

Birdie, I'm sure your cards are fab, don't go hiding your light under a bushel! ;) Get your Alan Sugar hat on!

Hope you manage to sort out the pushchair thing, does sound like they are being very dodgy. Really glad to hear the bp is low , sounds like it is doing you the world of good taking some time off.

Birdie-well done on the painting and valentines card making. Definately don't doubt yourself i bet they are great and people would be willing to pay for them over the mass produced and overpriced ones you get in shops.

Shrimpy- hope you manage to make yourselfa bit of money on ebay. Is horrible when you have a money gap but try not to worry too much.

We have been down in southampton this weekend, no snow down there but is some up here when we got back this afternoon.

We went to see a wedding venue this morning and really like it. Think we are going to get them to hold the date for us and my mum might go have a look at the weekend as she couldn't come today. Getting all excited now.

Hope your interview goes well on Thursday Shrimpy, hope the money situation isn't too dire for too long. :)

Exciting about the wedding venue Wendz! Have you started looking at dresses? We need DOTD again! :D

I have somehow been signed up to run in the annual pancake race on the 21st- not entirely sure what happened but now worrying that a) I have to run in public, b) I have to do it whilst concentrating on flipping a pancake and c) I have so little co-ordination that it is highly likely that I'll fall over my own feet and smack myself in the face with the pan! At least I've got a free hat :)

No nursery start yet, hoping to get it started by the end of the month. It's a little tricky as NIM is going to built a unit for storage (see background of this photo, in fact just see this photo, it's the nursery kind of look we're going for) so we need to get that built before we paint the walls or lay the floor. Currently he has next to no MSs lined up for this weekend (handy as we have next to no money in the MS float account) so if no more come up he'll get a bit of time to take down the upstairs desk and clear both rooms as needed, as dad has said it's a long job to dismantle and reassemble the downstairs desk and take it upstairs, but he'll come do it for us to save NIM time if NIM takes down the old one upstairs and clears him the space. Hmmm.... could list that one on ebay actually, get it out the door and a few pennies in our pocket.

I will get around to house pictures, I just keep wanting it to be 'finished', which in my mind it never will be!

Cat has got into a fight with NIMs pad of paper this morning, she's now cowering as the paper won.

    Jobs for the day
    1. Sort all ironing into pre-bump wear for attic, non-priority, undies for putting away and NIMs priority bucket. Put anything a bit damp on radiators before going in its bucket.
    2. List 15 lots on ebay
    3. Get all the washing through the machine
    4. Do scale plan of proposed unit so we can work out the cost
    5. General tidy of lounge and sort out writing bureau and blanket box.

I was planning to do a big spring clean of the lounge today, but I'm still all stiff and achy across my hips and don't want to make it worse so it'll have to wait for another day, c'est la vie. If I get time I am going to bake something today, been itching to for a few days but NIM is wanting to loose weight and I don't want to seem unsupportive. So I've decided I'll just have to bake and eat it all before he gets home. Or bake something he won't want to eat like something fruity... now there's a plan.

Good luck with the interview Shrimpy, and yey for the wedding venue Wendz.

Thanks Wendz, am feeling much better today, think I was just having a wobble! Few small bids on my ebay items too which makes me feel better!

Exciting news on the venue! Is that wedding and reception or just ceremony? And do we get pics when its all booked? I love wedding talk! Sorry if I've missed it but when are you looking to get married?

The girl I work with just told me its predicted to be -15 tonight! Someone please contradict here! It doesn't feel too cold here but it was very foggy and bleak this morning, bleurgh!

ETA - sorry, took me so long to post that! Thanks Dinah and Birdie! That nursery has made me indescribably broody, its beautiful! Have you seen Miss Potter? Actually, don't watch it if you're still weepy, you may never recover!

Birdie the pancake race sounds excellent, I had completely forgotten about pancake day!

I am sure the pancake run will be great fun Birdie even if it is a struggle hehe.

I absolutely love the look of that nursery! The storage units look great and you definately need a lot of storage. I wish Poppy had a lovely nursery, hers is more like a spare room with a cot in it poor thing. Hoping when we move we can decorate her new room a bit for her.

    This is the venue: http://www.easthorton.com/weddings/rooms

You can't really see much from this though. It is going to be for the ceremony and the reception. They section off part of the main big room for the ceremony and then you go down to the garden room for drinks then back up to the big room for the reception. We are going to get her to hold a date at the end of July next year for us.

Birdie - i was just thinking i should re start dotd haha
